There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Lions of Tanzania (Serengeti, Ngorongoro and others)

Daniel Rosengren: " A brave agama lizard about to jump onto the nose of a large lion to catch one of those juicy flies. It is not that uncommon to observe this behaviour when a pride of lions is resting on a rock in the sun. Flies are attracted to the lions which in turn attracts the lizards. They are very daring and make quick leaps onto the face, mane and bodies of the lions to catch flies. Many times the lions don't even seem to notice, other times they lift their head in surprise, but soon go back to what they do best, sleeping. I once helped a @bbc film team finding lions on rocks where they could film this, they go some really nice footage.

Imagine if this lion would yawn just as the lizard jumps.
Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. "
