There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Kingfisher is probably the genuine 250+kg tiger in Kanha. The standout features of genuine big tigers are body length and chest girth. Lot of tadoba tigers have that, hard to see that features in Kanha tigers. Camera trap pictures of Kanha tigers are not that impressive either. Kanha tigers may seem to have larger head, but that's hardly indication of heavier weight. Tadoba tigers have length, chest, robust head. They have all. In my opinion, They are Central India's kaziranga only pench tigers can come closer.
CM is well above 200 kg. He’s not that big, but he’s still very impressive and not by any means a small tiger. They are solid and round bodied and does also probably weigh more than they look like. I talked with a guy called Minh Ha I don’t know how reliable he is and he is a Kanha fanatic, but he said CM had been weighed at arround 220 kg when he was quite young.(I do not have his excat quote right now)
Here is Maya from Tadoba and the Link 8 female from Kanha. There is really no comparison and looks like two different sub species.
