Thank you, I did hear about the Wallingford male.

Around November 2010, at least between November and the first weeks of December they started to notice he was missing.

Thanks Majingilane. It's very interesting, because in many sources i found that the Tegwaan male was last seen in December 2010.

I think that this news (that the skin of the leopard was identified in the Tegwaan male) it has never been made public before.

Yes this news of poaching of tegwaan leopard and dreadlocks mapogo is never made public by officials of sabi sands. Because its bad for their buisness. Willem botha speak about it after 5 years of silence and i personally questioned many officials about it. I also have captured the remarks of colleen holland about these poachings in photos.

"During the time that I was Head of Anti Poaching in the Sabi Sands and did problem animal control in the entire reserve, I counted more than 100 other lions killed by the Mapogo’s. I myself had to shoot 13 lions who’s backs were broken by the Mapogos and left to die a horrible death. One such lion had to be shot in Exeter River Lodge camp as he was lying on the footpath leading to a guest room.
Myself and Dr Jonathan Swart was probably the first in the Western Sector to encounter the Mapogo’s as we walked into them one evening when we were tracking pangolin armed with nothing but tourches and a telemitry.
I witnessed the Mapogo’s kill a female on Singita near Exeter Portion 5 after she was thought not to be submissive enough to the Mapogo’s. Once she was killed, one of the Mapogo’s mated with her and then they started feeding on her. This was also witnessed by Ds Jurgens De Jager from the NG Church i White River as him and his daughter accompanied me that evening.
I also witnessed the Mapogo’s kill an entire pride of lions on Picanini Utha. I can not remember howmany lions were in the pride. They went out to kill the cubs but the females tried to protect the cubs and they were killed as well.
On more than one occassion the Sand River Pride were driven out of the Sabi Sands by the Mapogo’s. 5 Were shot in April 2006 and the rest of the Sand River Pride were shot in January 2009 after they were driven out by the Mapogos and started feeding on cattle in Dumphries Village.
The Mapogos brought me many hours of joy as they were great males.
I was lucky to be able to dart all of them and to inoculate them against Rabies when there was an outbreak of the disease in and arround the Sabi Sands from November 2007 to May 2009.
Andrew Schoeman made a great video of the Mapogo’s intimidating a Hippo untill it got out of the water at Othawa Causeway where they caught it.
They also caught a Rhino near Robsons dam.
They may be gone but their memories live on!"

Note: According to Willem Botha he counted 90 to 110 lions killed by mapogos when he was Head of Anti poaching in SS . he retires in january 2010 . his figures excluding the unknown lion causalities by western mapogos and mlowathis in 2010 also the death of fifth Majingilane , Probably Limper KNP male and Killing of 14 out of 17 cubs from the Ximunghue pride by Mr T when he returned to his brothers in west.

Like Fathers (West Street Males Mapogo Fathers) Like Sons (The Mapogos)

Born around 1990, The West Street Males (five of them at the time) took over from the Manyeleti Males in 1998, probably as 8-year old lions, and they gave great stability to the Eyrefield Pride, siring a good many youngsters, of which a healthy number survived. The West Street Maleswill certainly be long remembered as one of the most successful coalitions of male lions that Mala Mala has seen.

by Rich Laburn

"In the early 1990’s, two dominant male lions controlled the territory throughout Londolozi. Known only as the Black Maned and Golden Maned males, the pair were formidable and very much in control of the lion dynamics. It was however the fence between the Sabi Sands and Kruger National Park that would change everything. Up until 1992 the fence had limited the movement of game between these vast tracts of wilderness, fragmenting the 6 million hectares of open wilderness that we currently enjoy today.

Shortly after the fence had been removed, nomadic and rogue male lions began to push further west from the Kruger National Park into the Sabi Sands. And on one fateful night, a coalition of 5 male lions journeyed west to setup a territory for themselves.

Londolozi General Manager, Chris Kane Berman, was a ranger during this period and he recalls the event: “We had spent the afternoon with the two males and it wasn’t long after dinner in the boma that we heard them vocalizing again. Roaring deep into the night, the calls were however suddenly rebutted with the sound of new males steadily advancing east of our boundary. When we headed out at first light there were lion tracks everywhere. These tracks led us to, what is today known as, Tsalala Pan. Scattered around the pan were 5 new male lions lying around the dead bodies of two previously dominant males.

It wash’t long before two of the males lifted their heads and vocalized once again. The remainder of the lions then got up and attacked the carcasses of the two established males who they had obviously fought and killed during the night. Interestingly, this behavior continued throughout the day. By the time this new coalition left the scene, they had already fed off of them and were quite content to let a nearby crocodile as well as hyenas finish off the remains. As dusk broke, all 5 males stood up and declared their dominance by roaring into the night.” #MalaMala #londolozi

WANTED, THE OTHAWA BOYS!
Where are the Mapogo sons, the Othawa boys???

"Notice! A 1000 USD reward has been offered to find lions!
Distinguished ladies and gentlemen,
I am a lion fan who is from the United States. I have been fascinated by them for many years. A story I had once read, when I was surfing online in my spare time, about the Mapogo Male Lions Coalition, talked about lions that were from Sabi Sand, South Africa. Since then, I have always been fascinated by them, especially the dominant lion, who had a legendary experience. He was known as the Lion King, Makulu.
On March sixth, 2012, the Mapogo Coalition lost its battle for supremacy and was `replaced@by the youger, Selati Male Lions Coalition. I had sad tears at that moment, but I also realized and respected the alternation by the laws of nature.
Love needs no reason, but love needs courage! For this unforgettable love, I wish my favor of Mapogo could extend to their male posterity, (Mapogo’s sons, known as the Othawa boys). In order to find the nomadic Othawa Boys, who drift aimlessly in Kruger National Park, I started a most difficult task. I searched all the websites about Kruger National Park, and hoped I could find any information or photographs that would show me these two beautiful Othawa boys via tourists and photographers. Four years have now past, but I have found nothing. However, I have not given up and hope I can obtain help from others through this notice.
The Othawa Boys were born during the months of December, 2007 and January, 2008 to the Sabi Sand Othawa Lion Pride. They left Sabi Sand and made their way to Kruger. If they are still alive, they should be close to nine-years-old today.
The photo below are of two of the Othawa Boys. They were only four years old when they left Sabi Sand. Now that four to five years have passed, it will be difficult to recognize them according to their appearance in a photograph. It is known that the most effective way to identify a lion is tocomparea lione’is whisker pattern. I would like to offer 1000 USD as a reward to the person who could provide photos or video evidence of the two Othawa Boys with their clear whisker pattern. I will be very grateful to you for helping me attain my goal
Male Lions usually do not stay very far away from their birthplace when they are going to wander. They often pick a region or area that is near their birthplace. One of the last witnesses saw them south of Sabi Sand. So is it likely they live in the South of Sabi Sand Keluger region; like Skukuza restcamp, Phabeni Gate, Nkhulu, or Renosterkoppies for instance? Or do they live in the East Keluger region in Sabi Sand, or the MalaMala Game Reserve area? Who knows? These surmises are only based on my experience through the years, but I hope this information will be useful to the people who would like to help me. For this I am veryappreciative!"
【Indicate】The mode of payment:Paypal only.

Also 500 USD by me Fursan Syed and 1000 USD by a Mapogo Fan Tee Mapogo. so a total of 2500 USD reward offered on social media .
