The actual quotes  say Tiger, I think the "Tigress" is part of the write up and a mistake from the writer.

"The tiger was in the grass close to the watchtower, and tourists, including my groups, had congregated in the tower to wait and watch. As the tiger began walking back towards the road there was a crazy rush back down to the track - some groups got into their jeeps and drove up to the tiger, others ran along the track from the tower."
While kaziranga tigress' are massive, you won't see one with a head that size or a body that size.

A close encounter of Big Crocodile and Male Tiger (not sure about the gender of tiger, I am guessing).

That croc is doing nothing more than looking at the tiger. haha It is definitely not going to risk attacking a tiger, let a lone a male tiger. Tigers also wake up ready to fight imediately, so even when sleeping doesn't mean they are vulnerable.
A great example is the machli documentory where one of machlis daughters (2nd largest) attacks the sleeping (largest) tigress and she is ready to fight before the other sister can even sink a bite down.

I think the croc would have checked whether the tiger was alive or dead.
And would have moved off knowing its alive and sleeping.

These tigers are really something special. This sub adult is probably as large or even larger than the some of the dominant males of the other parts of India.

The more I see of the BMW male the more he amazes.
He has a massive neck and chest and is large from front to back. Very cool tiger.
