There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

If you're referring to the Northern Kruger and even in this map then you're fairly right. The area is dominated by dense mopani and grazing herds are less than what would be found south of the Olifants River so pride territories are larger and density lower. That said, it's also traversed by fewer roads, is less busy than Satara downwards and does not have as many private concessions as the Central and Southern regions so information is sparse.

There are more male lions, and prides, in the areas west of the main tar north of Satara going past Olifants, Letaba, Mopani and Shingwedzi, I have seen them in the past, but the road network is limited especially as you get north of the Olifants. This map is great work but it seems that there are 3 coalitions or territories in the Kruger Proper in the entire region from the H7 to Punda Maria west of the main tar running north. That's impossible and to my mind purely a lack of information flow.
