There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Polar and I are both bear enthusiasts. His favorite is the polar bear while mine is the grizzly. Rather than throw mud at each other, I requested that he co-moderate the bear section. Just post good information and interesting pictures and stop with the juvenile cat-fighting. Your information and pictures should speak for themselves.
Sir, you are absolutely right and I am sorry. As you can see from my previous comments, I never disrespected any lion or any coalition. I merely just inquired about the bias towards the Majingilane and the over-exaggerated honor given to them, even though we all, as you said, are lion enthusiast. Why try to elevate one coalition above others and doing so by distorting information?
Over the years, some coalitions got more airplay than others. There were good reasons, but that doesn't mean they were different from other coalitions. May seem to be that way, but those in the know have a different opinion. What we saw could have been a result of the size of some coalitions. Those who go unchallenged for a prolonged period of time can develop behavior not seen before. It's not unique, that is. Not in social animals. For analogy, read the newspapers. Humans. Also mammals.
By the way.
I heard a rumour about moderators and preference. This thread, they said.
I would agree on humans and preference. They're good friends everywhere. But preference isn't a bad thing per se. If you use it in a productive way, I mean. This is admittedly not easy. Takes a lot of time. Not saying our mods graduated in this department, but they most definitely know quite a bit about it. I also know that those who started the best-viewed lion threads are interested in wild lions. All lions.
Brotherbear is a moderator. His department is bears, but he also reads many threads in which other animals feature. When he heard about the animosity in the lion department, he decided to visit the Mapogo thread. He didn't talk to Majingilane, but read a number of pages. And decided for a few posts. I completely agree with the message he left. Meaning I also don't like posters going for mods right away. Also meaning I read a lot. As co-owner, you have to.
This thread is a good one. I don't mind a bit of animosity every now and then, but I prefer members who focus on facts. Not something else. It is, after all, about animals. Not us. Facts tell you about reality and reality is ten times more interesting than anything else. Knowledge is a result of cooperation, not animosity.
WildFact is about the natural world. It is about good information, that is. Observations. Facts. After some time, a thread will offer those interested a room with a view. In a way, a good thread is close to a book. Beats social media, glossies and all the rest of it. But you got to contribute.
If you think there's something that needs to be discussed, you don't start with accusations and disqualifications. The reason is it often results in animosity and a bad climate. Bad for information and bad for business. For that reason, you contact the mod responsable. If the problem isn't solved, you contact another. If still undecided, you ask permission to start a thread to discuss the issue in public.
Fursan Syed also started with animosity. He now is posting good info. All clear?
