There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
I mean it's not impossible that Mbiris were involved but I think it's way more likely the Monwanas were the culprits, we've actually seen them clashing and interacting with the Ross males. Mbiris for all we know have not interacted with the Ross males in a long long time.
What may have happened is that they ousted the Ross but attracted the Mbiris who ousted them.
But most likely the Monwana just lost interest, not being mature enough to want to fully establish themselves, and without any dominant males the lionesses are now interacting with Mbiris.
I'm not sure how Mbiri males' interaction with Monwanas would play out, Monwanas are 6, often seen with at least 5 members, one chased the older Birmingham Nephew and there's that report that may indicate one of them chased Shaka. Also 3 of them was enough to temporarily steal a carcass from the 2 old but in great shape Ross males, and now an unknown number of them very likely ousted the Ross males for good.
It doesn't seem the BDM have any problems with the Monwana but they are often operating as a coalition of at least 3 males, are in their prime and doesn't seem to be pushovers like their southern brothers.
