Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Here we have Selati 1 & 3 taking down a buffalo, while their younger brother (male 4) just watched and almost took a hit.
Selati 1 is the one that didn't let go of the buffalo for a moment, according to a video i watched, he hadn't fed for weeks and that's why he used all the strength he had in him not to lose this prey.
They were all excellent buffalo hunters, but I would say that male 1 and male 3 were the best among them.
After the successful hunt, the Selatis discover a calf in the buffalo's stomach. The lions kill turned into "C-section".

Great stuff. If you ever have a question/doubt. Don't doubt in ask to the mod team. We're here to help.
Once again, great post. Selati male #1 was a true monster of male lion!!
Thank you for the support. Also yse, Selati #1 was definitly a monster, as far as i am concerned he was the biggest out of the 4 Selatis.
Btw, should we create another topic to talk about them or stay on 'page' 16? I don't know how this works exactly
I couldn't be more agree. Despite all Selati males were good-looking lions, the #1 was by far, the most impressive of them. Christof Schoeman once said that the Selati number #1 was by far, the most beautiful and biggest male lion he ever saw.
Btw, isn't necessary a new thread, all the Selati males pics or old blogs from Manyeleti, Sabi Sands can be posted here without any problem. Regards: Tino
