There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

N'waswitshaka males

Four N’waswishaka males were seen today, trailing a herd of buffalo. They watched their prey cross an open area. When in the exposed open plain, the males waited, biding their time until the herd slowly made their way into the thickets beyond. The males then leapt into action, fully exposed. Unfortunately, their attempt was unsuccessful, perhaps the next will be more promising.

Four N’waswishaka males trailing a herd a buffalo again yesterday. They kept their eyes locked on the herd. They waited for the perfect opportunity before giving chase and managed to bring down a buffalo calf.

What are the inter-coalition dynamics of this coalition in terms of age, hierarchy, and specific bonds between each other?

Amahle and Wide Nose are prob a bit older then other 2 (prob born in first litters, but i dont think difference is big based of their pictures when they where subadults and cubs) .

Amahle and Orange Eyes look to be dominant the most and leading, mostly because they are 2 healthies ones.

I dont think there is specific bond between some, Amahle and OE as 2 fittest, are leading and patroling the most, so those 2 are prob seen most together, while other 2 can fall behind and stick with the pride more.

From Lake Panik to the Sabie river which separates Kruger and SS is around 2.5km

Yea, its N'ws territory in Kruger, around Lake Panik and KNP Lion Sands, they dont patrol there that often, but they do from time to time.

Its pretty much empty area, no prides there, only few nomadic males hanging around.
