There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

"The reports speak of two West Street Males, who sired the Mapogos. But I believe the West Street coalition consisted of five members. So where were the rest?"

The West Street Males are similar to the Birmingham Males of today.  They started as five and were whittled down to two over the years.

As I stated in my post, I actually copied and pasted from a post made by @fursan syed years ago in the Lions of Sabi Sands forum.  It's worth going back and reading when you get a chance.  Starts around page 27.  You'll see even more similarities between their situations than just the numbers.

Found this while lurking through the Manyeleti cats FB group

Gums and Rod Stewart by Greg McCall-Peat

Rod Stewart(the younger male) was killed by Dozie allegedly when they tried to take over the Nkuhumas in early 2009, all they found was his tail. Gums the older male was last seen trailing the Nkuhumas before he disappeared.

Rob Stewart looked very similar to Skorro Thanda/Impi and even to the dominant Tumbela male. There could be a chance that he fathered to Skorro. As per my friend Greg McCall-Peat, Rob Stewart was very similar to the old Skybed males. Which makes him thought that he breakaway from the Skybed/Caroline pride

This is Skorro of the Thanda Impi Males. His partner Sizanani is feeding on a buffalo behind him.

A Manyeleti update - The Red road male was seen recently in good shape, his neck looks well after the snared was removed. hopefully, we will get some pics soon.

Its like watching Sizanani and Skorro all over again, these 2 have great bond, while Lambile is more of a loner.

Btw @EverseenSA are in Manyeleti and filming Tintswalo males and RRM/Nharu pride, so we can expect high quality videos in future.

I always look forward to his videos, some of the very best around, top shelf cinematography, and in the narration you can tell that he really cares about the subject he is recording, for sure!
