Old and Rare Deleted Report of Mala Mala about Mr T and Kinky Tail

Eyrefield male lions – 9 April 2009

With the disturbing news of the Eyrefield pride and their subsequent flight eastwards, it was only a matter of time before these bullies paid MalaMala another visit. The two younger brothers were found at Piccadilly Pans in the morning, looking well fed but intent on conquest. As they approached the pans, a crash of seven rhinos blocked their way. Not wanting to take on the impenetrable wall of horns, the lions moved away. They came to rest in the open area and only stirred again once the sun had set. Getting active in the cool of the early evening, the two males moved northwards - roaring and scent marking as they went.

I don't think they deleted it. They simply changed the blog entirely, and as Sanjay has said many times, when you do that, when the url changes and so on, what happens is that the thing pops you out an error.

Mr T and Kinky Tail vs Roller Coaster Male.

- 06 October 2008

When these three big male lions were found, the two Eyrefield Males were in hot pursuit of the Rollercoaster Male. The two Eyrefield Males eventually caught up with the older male, and tried to attack him. The Rollercoaster Male seemed to hold his own as the two males assaulted him attack after attack. The two younger males did visibly display an air of confidence. It will now be interesting to see what the Rollercoaster Male's future holds in store for him.

Do any of you have proof that the lodges and such have "not deleted" their posts but just "changed the blogs entirely"? And why haven't they then released any official statements saying that they have done so? Users keep saying they changed the blogs and url - if that is the case, then why haven't they made any attempts to make sure that their new and old readers can find these reports and blogs easily?

I can understand changing the names of the reports/blogs and changing the url's, but what is surprising is that they never made any clear attempt to make sure they tell their viewers/readers about these changes.

At this point, it is more plausible to believe that they deleted these reports than changed their names and url's.

Mr T/SaTan return West after kinky tail's death

Reunion of Mapogos and Shifting of power in western Sector.

July 2010 (1 sighting) - (8 years 8 months)

This male was seen only once this month, with his brother having been killed by the 4 KNP males he spent a little time with the Marthly pride in the very north-west section of the property, before the 4 males caught up with them there and killed a sub-adult female from the Marthly pride and chased the pride and the Mlowathi male west. Since then he has joined up with his 3 older brothers in the west and taken the dominant role he has always held. He has killed some of his brother’s cubs and taken control over one of their prides. Once he settles into this new coalition it will be very interesting to see if he will bring his brothers east again to try and reclaim his territory that he seems to have given up to the 4 new males.

August 2010 (0 sightings) - (8 years 9 months)

This male has not been seen at all this month and was only seen once last month, there are confirmed reports that he has joined his older brothers in the west and that he has even taken the more dominant role there. Although it seems unlikely now that he will return with his brothers, maybe as he takes control to the west and becomes more dominant he might look to expand back west into his old hunting ground.

This the Mapogos sister the Iron lady possibly born along with Rasta and Pretty Boy and big sister to Dreadlocks, Mr. T and Kinky Tail. She was tough lioness but that comes with blue blood she was born with! Fathered by the West street males.

The Iron Lady
by Tom Imrie on April 18, 2013 33

In a place where the contest between life and death is so keen, it seems ironic that the passing of a Londolozi lioness should draw much attention in the greater scheme of living and dying. For all of the reasons that make the wildlife of Londolozi so special it is with great sadness that we report the passing of the oldest Sparta lioness.

Over the past month, the Sparta Pride have slowed their erratic movements around Londolozi in order to allow this aged and struggling lioness to keep up with the pride. With an unnaturally swollen stomach and a gaunt, ribbed physique she battled the disease that plagued her. A few nights ago she gave up on her attempts to remain with her pride and she was reported dead by the East yesterday morning. Speculation a few months ago was that she was heavily pregnant. Sadly the hopes of new life within her were to ultimately be misguided and potentially the cause of death.

In her final weeks, the lioness would struggle gamely along with the pride. What will happen to the three young adult lioness that are left? Will they be able to handle the burden of raising 7 cubs without an experienced lioness to lead the pride?

In many respects she was “the Iron Lady’ of Londolozi. She was fathered by the infamous Sparta Males and having been born towards the end of 2000 she was the sister and littermate of the now disbanded Mapogo coalition. Poignantly she outlived all of her sisters and all but two of her 6 brothers. She guided her daughters through their first attempts at raising youngsters and in a place so wild and savage to the aspirations of lion, the fact that she can boast to have left a legacy is telling and alone makes her remarkable.

Makhulu
The Leader of 6 has arrived and this land was his!

We came into a clearing and established a safe exit route for the vehicle if we needed to use it. And then saw something I have never seen and have no explanation for. In the foreground a large buffalo carcass, writhing with reddened hyenas from at least two different clans. But behind them something strange, almost supernatural loomed in the moonlight. A massive grey wall over three metres high and over forty metres long, towering above the kill. Twenty five elephants, standing shoulder to shoulder, with youngsters behind them, stared down at the nervous but blood-crazed scavenger-hunters. They neither charged nor fled. Just stood and watched. For almost an hour. Jerry whispered that they had come to try help the buffalo.
I heard something running in from behind the vehicle. It was coming quietly but fast. I grabbed the spotlight from Jerry and shone behind us just as an enormous male lion burst into the clearing, roaring his arrival as thirty hyenas screamed in horror and scattered in all directions. The leader of the six had arrived, and this land was his. His roars came from the base of his gut, louder than any roar I’d ever heard. He stared at the wall of elephants, which stayed their ground for about five minutes before turning and moving away.
For four of our guests this was their first evening in Africa. We drove home in silence.

Mr T and Styx lioness

(Mr T forced rangers to keep a respectful distance from him and his lioness)
-4 May 2009

Theories as to which lioness had the new cubs, if the two new ones were in the same litter or even if the cubs were still alive came to a confusing halt as these lions were found mating. The Eyrefield male with the mohawk (Mr T) was particularly aggressive, which forced rangers to keep a respectful distance from the pair. The Styx lioness that he was mating with was the one with injuries from the previous week. Still limping around quite badly, she was not perturbed and carried on with the process every five to ten minutes for the entire day.
