There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

It's not often that you get to capture a young lion standing up for itself against an opponent 5 times it's size. This cub stood its ground against its father, a huge male.

(The scars on the male, without stating the obvious, are a result of his hard work protecting the pride and the cub!)

He has similar eyes to Nsuku of the birminghams. Beautiful lion, he was.

It is fairly unusual to see lions crossing a river. We were lucky to watch these two brothers swimming to reach the other bank to unite with their other two brothers who had somehow managed to get to the other side. The reunion was a sight worth watching. Lots of grunting, rubbing, rolling and expressions of joy. — at Rattray's on Mala Mala Game Reserve.
