Great Stuff btw, I loved these images.

Thanks @Pckts I too enjoyed when i first saw these images. Between kaziranga tigers, it is difficult to say which is the biggest. We have to dig deep into each picture and then come to a conclusion.

(03-13-2016, 02:13 PM)shaileshsharadnaik Wrote: Friends, had been to tadoba last to last week after an year. Its an amazing amazing place. in 8 safaris, spotted 3 males, 3 females and 3 cub  tigers. and off course other cats like leopards.  Will post photos in respective threads. To start, here is the King waghdoh on 3 march afternoon safari at Tadoba junona buffer. Near aategaon protection hut , waterhole 175. He is divine. He was sitting in front of us for 30 odd minutes.
And Till today I don’t have clear photos the large old male which we spotted at kuipat area near tadoba lake. I will soon post those when I have.  I think that’s yeda anna most probably.  But a possibility of old hilltop male too. Because its his old area. I am also baffled how yeda anna can reach here. He is supposed to be in palasgaon, khutavanda gate area. how can he cross thru kosekonar, jaminbodi, hilltop to reach Tadoba lake. also really cant understand how can maya leave her cubs alone in the area frequented by so many male tigers; especially when no one is sure who has sired her cubs ( gabbar or Saturn or katezari). Now this area has atelast 6 males around; new navegaon male mating with Choti tara, pandu maya brother, matkasur male, Saturn, katezari sometimes, this unknown old male. Atleast 6 males in the area. I really love Tadoba; for its unpredictability its so amazing. Unbelievable

Friends,

further to my message 2 weeks back on that unknown male we spotted at Kuipat near tadoba lake on 5 march evening safari. Now I have clear photo of that male courtesy my co-tourist in other Gypsie; Neeraj Bantia. Thanks to him. Posting it here on his behalf.   And this indeed is yeda anna. Tigers are such mysterious creatures. Yeda anna is now around 12 yrs old and was spotted after a long time. He was last seen in Palasgaon area. we were very very lucky. Its astonishing that he travelled all the way thru kosekonar, hill top area to appear near tadoba lake. His travel path would have taken him thru areas of other young male tigers like; Saturn, Gabbar, pandu, matkasur male and old hilltop male. Amazing !

A side note, the reason he is named "Namdev" is because he supposedly killed a man with that name and it stuck.
"This Tiger supposedly killed a man by name Namdev and hence the name after his victim!"

*This image is copyright of its original author

Walking Majestically side by side to see other two fully grown adult tigers. Namdev / Rago and Pandu... Experts say two adult male tigers are rarely seen with each other peacefully. Not sure about it though... Namdev ...a name for a Tiger surpised me, On enquiring with our guide Dinkar Chaudhary got to know he had killed a man named Namdev who had ventured into the forest. It was after this incident the name got stuck to him. Our guide Dinkar Chowdhary informed us that this could be coz Namdev is father of Pandu... That could be a reason both were together with out a fight

@Roflcopters The best I could find
