There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Scar is around 8 years old, at least that is what I was told. He surely is a magnificent male.

Scar is an absolutely beautiful male lion. I don't know if it is because of his scar precisely, but his look is impressive.

Maji Ya Fisi Lion in the rain in Masai Mara, Kenya

My guide told me that some years ago the Maji Ya Fisi Pride had three lions. They were attacked by the powerful Notches. One lion was killed, another disappeared and was never seen again, and the third lion lives far away with one large and two younger lionesses. He is very active and fast. Here he tried to chase a wildebeest after the lionesses were unsuccessful in the hunt of a warthog. But the wet ground hampered him and he had to give up a good meal.

I don't think it bothers him much, if at all.
