There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Well, we will never know 100% if lions have such a "memory", i mean in short time span, yes, especially for individuals with who they have strong and long bonds, but in this example, that was 4 yrs ago (which is almost half the lifetime of male lions) , and Nkuhuma male was 1.5 yrs sub at that time, Nhenha doesnt know him as full grown lion, i mean they where even enemies last years.

I mean, Birminghams had ~ 30 subs thru Nkuhuma, Styx and Torchwood prides, that would be a lot of scents for a lion to remember, especially after that long time, and then he had new, more recent generation in Kambulas. Thats around 40 subs with who Nhenha encounter thru the years.

He can prob recognize "familiar" scent in him of Nkuhuma and Styx prides, but thats about it.

But we will never know. Never know if they have bumped into each other before. Just as the case of the marthly pride.

Nhenha also chased them (wtih SYM) before, it is not that they haven't met since Birminghams abandoned their natal prides. I am pretty sure somebody commented on that ocassion that Nhenha did not chasethem with an intent to kill (possibly) recognising their progeny (tbh I honest I thought it was you, but I might be mistaken :) ).
