Nice close-up of a green-eyed young Mbiri.   They look like a promising coalition.

Here are close-up pictures of the males' fathers, the Thanda Impi Coalition....

No, left is older, born in litter before the younger one.

New young lions arrive in the Manyeleti Game Reserve.

This is very interesting. They appear to have possibly come out of Kruger, but will be interesting to find out who they are, and what happens with them moving forward. They are really young to be striking out on their own, and that concerns me for their future.
They're probably from the Imbali or Hamilton prides.

Let's see what Neil Jennings will says on the next episode.

If the Koppies cubs reach the independence. Then they would be the first litters of cubs of the Orpen evils in the Koppies pride that were able to survive the most difficult stage for the lion cubs

By the way, did we ever hear more about the status of the injured Koppies female? Last video I saw, showed them searching for the 7 cubs, eventually finding them all, all were injured including the male, but the other female appeared the worst injured. The next morning the guides said they had no idea where she went, and then I did not hear anymore.

That's also what I want to know.  What happened to the beat-up female that fought the Mbiris?  I hope she didn't die in the end...  She was put out of commission for about a week or so and then popped up again according to a post I read before....but then I see new footage of just the one lioness with all 7 cubs.

It will be hard for that one lioness, if she's the only one alive now, to raise all 7 cubs successfully.  She will probably have minimal assistance from the Orpens since they see the Mbiris as a bigger, better prize.  All the other lone lionesses out there now have only one cub to raise!  I REALLY hope the rangers try to follow this gripping story and keep us up to date on her whereabouts and the status of the cubs.

I haven’t seen any updates in Oct but with the pressure from other prides in the north and west (and no males) I’m assuming they want to keep a low profile.

Thank you for posting this @Gijima Well, this was taken about a month after the fight with the Mbiris, and the first sign I have seen that both lionesses are alive, so this is great to see!

Yes, very encouraging sign.  It seems that injured lioness rallied back and is now helping the other pride lioness with their cubs!  Wish them the best of luck.

At least for now we are aware that both lionesses are alive and well.

This is yet another hint that Scorro sired RRM, because Scorro was hanging out with Birmingham pride (or some portion of it) in late 2013-2014, after the last Old Birmingham male left the pride.

Avoca/Giraffe males came later, prob thru 2015 (i might be wrong, but first picture that i find of Avocas/Giraffes with them is from late 2015).
And i think we dissmised that Matimbas where dominant over Birminghams.

Also that would be the reason of making Birmingham breakeaway or as we know them Red Road pride, to run away and save their cubs from Avoca/Giraffes, they where seen first time in late 2015 in Manyeleti, consistent of 2 adult Birmingham lionesses, 1 subadult male and 2 subadult females (2 lionesses im Birmingham pride are belived to be 7 yrs old, maybe they are those 2, RRM's sisters).

Next thing is that first offspring that Avoca/Giraffes sired in Birmingham pride was born yet in mid 2016.. And all evidence suggest that those 3 cubs from RRP where born around early 2014.. And we dont have any lions born in between, so what where Avoca/Giraffes doing to not sire any offspring in between, if they are dominating Birmingham pride since 2013, 3 years with no cubs??

Unless somebody have source/picture/report that Avoca/Giraffes where with Birmingham pride before 2015/14, all evidence shows us that RRM is son of Scorro.

The Red road male most likely was sired by Skorro.

Makes sense. Also won’t the Old avocas have chased away the Birmingham Boys in 2013 if they took over then? It seems like the pride really didn’t have any dominant males and the Bboys + sisters just left on their own in mid 2014, so that timeline definitely makes sense.
