There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Nobody wants to meet this pride, few weeks ago they beat few nomadic young males and just few days ago they killed famous leopard female Nompethu, leaving her 14 months male subadult alone, hope the leopard male can survive on its own.

Scorro breakeaway pride are seen getting closer to Orpen males territory, seeking protection from Hercules/Sumatra males.

They are currently 6 of them, 1 adult lioness, 1 sub adult male and female around 2-2.5 yrs old and 3 subadults around 1-1.5 yrs old.

Adult female :

Also this cubs who where seen with Scorro pride with Hercules and Sumatra males are younger then this ones from breakeaway, so this cubs are most likely sired by Hercules/Sumatra males who are longer interacting with Scorro pride as we first assume, as this pride mostly spends time in Kruger, we dont have regular updates on them.

Also 2 of the 3 Koppies pride females are denning with cubs, sired by Orpen males.

The leader of the Talamati Pride.
“Silver-eye” daughter of Matimba, i think HB.
“This Talamati female with 'silver-eye' remains the best in the pride. In spite of her 'faulty' eye, she still can hunt and lead the pride successfully and she still the very gorgeous indeed!”.

Throwback to Avoca Giraffe coalition in late 2017

The lone Giraffe male lion that was located last week, reunited with his brothers two days ago and this formidable Avoca/Giraffe coalition seemed unstoppable together. The coalition of five, woke up and walked with quite an awkward and unsteady gait towards kokomoya dam for a drink. The years of fighting and tackling buffalo is catching up with them slowly but surely. We left them at the dam listening to the distant roaring of the Thanda Impi’s, and surprisingly, they were non responsive! We haven’t seen them since.
