There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Bororo already got ''blessed'' most likely by the piranhas with his tail tip gone.

They don't look like adolescents. What's the story with them being together?
They were 2.5 when I saw them a year back or so, we'll see if they stick together this upcoming season. It's rare for Jaguars to stick around in the North, generally they're pushed out and not seen back so who knows. But they were fun to watch and very active.

@Sauron
Xando and Bororo are still young males ( they're brothers ) and most of the times they are spotted together and this behavior at that age is leading some people to think they would build the first Jaguar coalition ever registered if they make it to adulthood accompaning each other like that but they'll probably take their own individual paths. Only time will tell.

A jaguar coalition would be the most amazing thing to witness, although my hypothesis is that even if that is the case they will most likely end up separating at some point when the access to females and territories becomes more pressing.

With the main focus on the preservation of Maned Wolves in Cerrado at Pousada Trijunção East Cerrado, Onçafari still bumps into some wild cerrado cats.

@Dark Jaguar :

About #626: funny to see the end of this jaguar's tail constantly out of the water when it was swimming in this video...

He's probably already learned his lesson the hard way.
We saw the same thing with a Jaguar in the  north too, but not all of them do it. I think it must be a learned trait from a Piranha experience they've already had.

Updated Datas on the map in Cerrado of Rogério male ( blue ), Ariane female ( pink ), Tiago male ( green ) and Natalia female ( purple )

''Use of the agricultural landscape of jaguars in the region of the Nascentes do Rio Araguaia - Goiás. Monitored by @instituto_onca_pintada using GPS collars. With @anah_tereza_jacomo''

https://www.picuki.com/media/2297458991250568903

Not sure the exact period of time in months/years of this.

as you can see in the video of the link -

Ariane female spent most of her time in two places I am pretty sure its cause of her cubs ( she gave birth a few months ago ).

The spot where Ariane's cubs are lured other jags hence why she was near that area all the time.

Natalia female roamed farther into Tiago's territory. ( Tiago that massive dark cerrado jag )

Rogério spent quite some time with Ariane female.

From our point of view in that landscape Rogério patrols/rule more the east while Tiago patrols/rule more the west but he ventured into east once in that period of time.

About the areas not roamed by those 4 jags those areas were definitely covered by other cerrado jags like in southern and northern areas.

I think this is Natalia cerrado female because we all know Ariane isn't a melanistic cerrado jag.
