An enormous ground sloth Eremotherium, threatens the passing nearby Scimitar- toothed cat (Homotherium venezuelensis). Normally the giant herbivore wouldn't pay much attention to such a slender predator, but now the presence of calf makes her nervous. The Homotherium, who is actually interested in the small herd of Palaeolama in the distance (the giant sloths are away out of its league), taken aback , briefly shows his sabers before to run away.
