"Weighing in at almost 83 kg, Mawenzi gained four kilogram in the last 36 months and thus, is the heaviest recorded male in the reserve."

Leopard Split Nose in March
We saw him in the afternoon on a tree and drove back to his last place in the morning. He was not there. We searched him all morning and when we got back to lunch we found him 5 minutes from Kaleku Bush Houses on a tree. So we were fortunate enough to be alone with him until he quickly ran into the bush to cool off.
I would like to do that too, because it is very, very hot here in Berlin.
Wish you all a great Sunday!

More info from previous post

"Yesterday morning the AfriCat team was able to immobilize Mawenzi and fit him with a new VHF collar as the strength of his previous one started to weaken. Weighing in at almost 83 kg, Mawenzi gained four kilogram in the last 36 months and thus, is the heaviest recorded male in the reserve."
