Help identifying please - Maliboo - 01-30-2017 great pictures and information. Can anyone help identify this please? About 3.5" Thanks. Thought it may be bear but can't see growth rings near tip. Thanks. RE: Help identifying please - GrizzlyClaws - 01-30-2017 It does look pretty worn, but I guess it should be a lower canine tooth of tiger. RE: Help identifying please - Maliboo - 01-30-2017 Thank you Grizzly. I thought it also could be that. One side resembles more of a tiger canine, but the other side with more damage to the posterior confused me. RE: Help identifying please - GrizzlyClaws - 01-31-2017 If the root is broad, then it is tiger. The narrow root is the lion. For the most part then, unless it's a deformity, the narrow root as in this photo would suggest a lion rather than a tiger, correct? RE: Help identifying please - GrizzlyClaws - 01-31-2017 Yep, the narrow root is the indication of a lion. |
