Black Rhombeus are absolute nasty fish that get huge and do extreme damage. I'm not sure about their wild habits but in captive settings they are killers unlike their smaller red bellied cousins who are very skittish fish.

Yeah Dark Piranha, Piracatinga, Candirús are small compared to other dangerous fish in the Amazon area but aren't fishes to be messed, black piranhas are pretty big, despite known for group attacks they can also use active porsuit and ambush.

Their bite power have also been measured and according to the study from north America counting proportion between weight-strength is the most devastating. Regardless one thing we can assure is they do tons of damage.

Without a doubt one of the infamous fishes in Amazon. But Candirú is scarier haha and don't sleep on Piracatingas either.

Black piranhas (Serrasalmus rhombeus) normally don't attack people in the wild, the most dangerous wild piranhas are Pygocentrus caribas found in Venezuela

Wow, I didn’t know piranhas can get that big! From the videos that I watched, they seem to be more aggressive than other piranhas that I know of.

There are 3 piranha species that get really  big: Black piranhas (Serrasalmus rhombeus) grow up to 50 centimeters long, Serrasalmus manueli and Pygocentrus piraya grow over 50 centimeters long, the larger specimens of the three species weight well over 3 kilograms.

Piranha don't attack if there are no blood and distraction.
