this bruised male weights around 100kg and got ran over possibly by boat.

"We received the animal on Monday night (7) and we are conducting tests. It is an adult, weighing about 100 kilos. We will do all the necessary exams to make a safe diagnosis for the animal," said the veterinarian. The feline was located in the Miranda River in the region of Passo da Lontra, which was with the back wounded and with difficulties of locomotion.''

''Last week, the CRAS also received a Puma captured on the banks of the Rio Dourados, in the region of Fátima do Sul. The cat was trapped in the trap of hunters.

Capture season of 2013 and the first time Brutus was weighed by onçafari and other south pantanal females.

Garoa female: Caught at 21:40 on April 14 in the trap located in a cattle carcass in the Piquete da Caixa d'agua. Young female, estimated to be 15 months old, weighed 61Kg and had a very healthy appearance. Biological materials (blood, hair and ticks) were collected. It was not equipped with radio-collar in function of its tender age, still showing signs of growth and weight gain.

NOTE: Garoa was captured once again as an adult and she weighed 83kg.

Teorema female: Captured at 4:00 a.m. on April 16th in the trap located in a cattle carcass in the Bodocó wintering. Adult female with an estimated age of 07 years, weighed 95 Kg and showed physical signs of possible pregnancy (numb breasts and distended abdomen). She was equipped with radio-collar and biological materials were collected. Later pregnancy was proven. It has been monitored since then, together with its cub, which is now seven months old.

Brutus: Captured at 8:00 p.m. on October 18 in a trap located on the Corridor of Three trail. Adult male, estimated age of 08 years, weighed 115 Kg. It was equipped with radio-collar and biological materials were collected. Its collar will provide subsidies for greater knowledge about male spatial information, given this not very well known and/or disseminated in other projects. It is being monitored since then.

Troncha female: Captured at 23:00 on October 21 in a trap located in Baiazinha Isolated. Adult female with an estimated age of 09 years, weighed 110 Kg and showed physical signs of possible pregnancy (numb breasts and distended abdomen). She was equipped with radio-collar and biological materials were collected. It has been monitored since then.

So now we all can at least assume how big a pregnant pantanal jag might get (she had a cub named Mion in 2013) But regardless of pregnancy or not Troncha was always stated as a very big female.

''When the Mamirauá Institute team found this female jaguar she was pregnant (weight 39kg, size 1m 68cm). Generally jaguars take care of their young and wait two years to mate again. However a year passed and there was Fofa with a new newborn cub. "What impressed us is that Fofa has had another cub in such a short time. This fact leads to new questions and hypotheses about the behavior of jaguars," said researcher Wezddy Del Toro.

72kg Galego male is the Largest amazonic jaguar ever weighed in the amazon lowland forest and he is 11 kilos larger than the biggest monitored amazonic male ( a male of 61kg ) and Galego is also 17 kilos larger than the average ( 55kg ) amazonic males monitored by the project ( one of which is Jacques male whom was captured AFTER Django male, Jacques is already on my post #182 captured by the project ).

Jotabazinho is a male jaguar of 2-3 years of age and 85 kg that traveled a few days ago from Fance Caiman - in the Brazilian Pantanal - to the quarantine of San Cayetano in Corrientes, Argentina.

Got data from the heaviest Argentinian jaguar weighed from Redyaguarete, it weighed 108 kg and another of 94 kg that was hit by a car.

Luíza Caatinga female was in terrible conditions, she was stuck/trapped in a blocked cave for 22 days without food and water and after the rescue thanks to the Programa Amigos da Onça she regained weight which I posted with her story in full details in the Jaguars of Brazil thread.

''When she was rescued on May 3rd 2019, the jaguar that is 58 centimeters in height and 1 meter long, she was very weak, dehydrated and malnourished weighing only 35kg.

Despite small these beasts are incredibly powerful.

I think the Caatinga females might overlap with Caatinga males in some cases, So I am not gonna count the 46kg. 11kg weight gain cause she was treated by the Amigos da Onça project to recover her conditions.

So if Luísa caatinga female when she was malnushered, weak and dehydrated weighed 35kg, I think a healthy Luíza (on natural wild conditions) can mostly overlap with caatinga males but maybe other females might be fairly smaller than Luíza (or not). without mentioning the Caatinga Pumas that a few are similar ( some are even larger ) in sizes.

Regardless of what the truth is, its an amazing story of rescue and I hope Luíza is doing good in the wilderness of Caatinga and I know she's in good hands cause Programa Amigos da Onça is monitoring her steps.

He must be way above that weight now, he's got an impressive build. Btw, do you have any more info on Matheus male? Last time he was weighed he was 134 kg, little is known about him.

Yeah Matheus is a hell of a beast, Unfortunatelly I don't know if he was captured once again and even if he was, it also takes the projects to reveal his weight to the public as well.

About Matheus life the only thing I know is that he took over the territory that used to be ruled by the deceased 130kg Sossego male in southern Pantanal around Fazenda Barranco Alto. Sossego was poached shot to death with bullets fractures into his skull ( one more beast lost to the poachers ). Thus letting his territory vacant which led Matheus male to take it over.
