Battle Scarred - Pckts - 10-13-2016

Post Any images and stories of big cats with battle scars.
"Battle Scars" don't necessarily need to be from a fight, they can be from a failed or successful predation attempt as well.

Try to keep away from Cuts and post more of the unusual and Identifying scars we see.
I prefer Facial Region images but any area is fine.

Male tiger Barka, after a fight he won. He had to be stitched up, though (his left jaw bone was exposed). Photograph Zwanepoel (don't remember the title of his book right now, but it had a lot of good photographs):

RE: Battle Scarred - Spalea - 11-03-2016

@Pckts:

About #9: I hope, since 2014, this tiger is completely recovered from his wound...

@Majingilane:

About #8: this young lion had "the eyes bigger than the belly" (french expression to say he was too presumptuous)... Consequences: a lost eye and a face badly wounded. The youthful mistakes are never forgiven and always severely punished.

Cruel and hard photos in any case...

Exactly what I was thinking.
