this is very dangerous for his health,
he needs an operation to have the canine removed and several stitches to bring the gum back to it normal shape.

but the vets will do nothing, it is pity because this can cost him his life

He is surviving just fine, eating and looking healthy. I am a firm believer in letting nature take its course as long as "it's course" wasn't caused by human interference in the first place.

Exactly my thinking on this.

Imagine if we intervened in each and every creature that gets hurt in the wild. We would never end. And it wouldn't be wild anymore.

In his case, it was caused by a natural event, and he's ok, so why intervene?

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve:
"The two Charleston males stopped for a drink in front of the Luxury Villas at Bush Lodge this morning after finishing off their buffalo calf kill from last night.
After a lengthy tracking exercise, the Southern Pride and their cubs were found looking rather thin and in much need of a meal. It didn't stop the cubs sharing some quality time with the pride."

From Umkumbe Safari Lodge, 06 May 2016:
"Remember our previous post about the Talamati males killing two zebra in one weekend and the sneaky Charleston boys dining out on the kill? Well, Marius managed to photograph the Charleston Lion Pride snacking on the morsels from the Talamati kill. One of the Charleston males is instantly recognisable with that dodgy tooth of his! Thanks Marius Zeilinga for capturing a few big cat memories."

"One of the Charleston males snacking on a zebra foal's leg. The Talamati lions killed a zebra and its foal; and the following day the Charleston's came to clean-up what was left of the kill."

"A beautiful portrait of the Charleston male with the dodgy tooth! This big boy still manages to eat successfully and has adapted to his disability."

"Slowly creeping towards the kill site where the Talamati males killed two zebra. When we returned the following morning after their evening feast, we expected to see them with their kill. Instead we saw the Charleston boys! They decided to scent mark nearly every bush in their path - clearly they wanted to show that they're the dominant ones!"

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve:
"The Southern Pride & Charleston males were raising their voice in song last night as they roared away deep into the night. The little ones have not yet found their voices and still make do with just pulling ears and tails for the time being."

RE: Lions of sabi sands - Tshokwane - 05-19-2016

The Charleston males have kept us on the edge of our seats the last couple of drives. Last night they were on the scent of an unknown young male lion that moved through their area and this morning we watched them make three separate attempts on some buffalo. Unfortunately, they had no success, but they were left following the trail of a large buffalo herd so perhaps they will have better luck later on.

RE: Lions of sabi sands - Tshokwane - 05-22-2016

From Sabi Sabi:
The two Charleston males covered some serious ground last night and somewhere along the line they split up to move in separate areas of their territory, possibly in attempts to chase off other lions from the area. This morning we woke up to the two males roaring incessantly, which eventually led them to one another.

The three young Talamati males were on the reserve this morning, moving very quickly away from the roaring Charlestons. A conflict between the two coalitions is bound to happen soon if the young males keep venturing into Charleston/Southern Pride territory.

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve:
"The calls of the Charleston males were heard during the early hours of this morning. We moved into the area to find them moving through the wet vegetation, picking up on the scent of a potential meal and marking their territory."

As far as I know, they were born in 2011, so yes, they would be 5 years old.
