mihirwildmahajan - After a hard-fought training session which involved an hour of vicious tiger combat, the battered and bruised mother son duo hugged each other, as if to say ‘well done and I’ve always got your back’! While the young tiger went back to cuddling with his brothers, the drained mother had urgent errands to run, for two dominant male tigers were closing in on her territory that evening! Leaving the ‘big’ yet immature cubs in the safe haven behind Baba Thenga, she carried on, disappearing into the dark reaches of Mukki!
The young boy, the Gladiator who’d soon enter the real world of tigers, learnt some very crucial life lessons that evening, ancient wisdom passed on by generations of tigers!

@Ashutosh

V7 and Dadyal are two different males!

Since Bheem took down Pannalal, we haven’t seen many big Panna males. But, KANHAIYA has been regularly sighted in the tourism zone lately and he looks decent.

camillamalvestiti - It’s always interesting to observe the movement of tigers over the different seasons.
Meet Handsome, the former ruler of Pench Khursapar, father of tigress Baras and grand-father to her first and current litter.
Not having been sighted in a long time, he seems to have left this area, and other males have occupied the territory. The famed Rayakassa, historic mate of Collarwali tigress, has crossed the inter-state border and is frequently sighted in this part of the forest.
A new male has apparently been seen recently. Durga, Baras’s mother, has returned to her original territory a few days back.
Baras’s cubs are growing and we are waiting for some promising play scenes around the waterholes that have been their mother’s favourite spots in the summer.
I am going to Pench with @beyondwild and have a few spots left for 1-4 April.
Drop me a line if interested, it’s going to be hot!
