RE: Tiger Directory - Ashutosh - 11-30-2020

Hey @Rage2277 @Pckts, have you heard anything about this male from the buffer of Bandhavgarh? He is called Murkatiya male. Apparently, he has killed 3 cubs recently.

He looks similar to the
Rajbehera Male Tiger

This was him as a sub adult in 2015

I'm not sure about elsewhere but remember that one male that migrated to Kanha allegedly?
I only saw that one photo of him but he seemed to vanish after that.

It was years ago, I don't remember. I recall @Rishi involved in the discussion as well.
He had a fairly big mane but seemed like a small Tiger. I wouldn't know where to find him now.

The one that looked like a Corbett tiger?.. He probably got pushed out to the buffers soon after. Not a long sighting career.

Ya, I don't think we ever got confirmation exactly where he came from, right?

RE: Tiger Directory - Rage2277 - 12-03-2020

the balaghat male in kanha? i thought he was still around he's def from the tadoba breed though or some forest close by, i wouldn't be surprised if he got pushed out already he's literally like a female in comparison to the big males there @Pckts @Rishi  also the pench and nagzira breeds seem to be the biggest overall of the maharashtra stock

RE: Tiger Directory - Rishi - 12-03-2020

Balaghat male has unknown origin.

That can be deduced to him being descended from buffer zone stock. Apparently he's at Khapa buffer now, last sighted in safari season of 2019.

RE: Tiger Directory - Roflcopters - 12-03-2020

honestly he looks nothing like a Kanha or an Umred tiger, the signature “TAT” on the forehead is very common in Tadoba tigers and if you look at Sharmili, he looks just like his mother. same stripes, face and everything.
