The big and impressive T50 Gadhi male from Kanha curiously eyeing the gypsies on safari while resting in his saucer in the Mukki road. He is one of the most majestic specimens of KTR. The sheer size of this tiger in his prime stuns one and all.

An amarous male tiger. It was under the partial darkness, overnight Chota brought down a bison calf right in the heart of Chikalwahi female's (P3) territory. The presence of two huge transient males in rather a close proximity was felt. While Chota Matka inspected his food and went inside only to be seen again on a late afternoon, a herd of spotted deers far away behind the behind the hill began with loud alarm calls signalling the presence of a big cat. It took hardly few minutes as all the vehicles stood still at Umrikhora, the bison kill made by Chota was stolen by another transient male, Mowgli.

A young male tiger in heat is always the most dangerous, the most threatening. For the whole of this season Chota gave some tough times to Maya and family and eventually left Pandharpauni during the late summer. While it was believed that Chota mated with the Bhanuskhindi female and settled in the non tourism area, he suddenly appeared in the buffers of Navegaon. With the absence of Ghinaji and most of the resident females without thier cubs, it seems that Chota is here to stay. A new chapter in the magical land of Tadoba unfolds.

This was nice article giving a brief summary of some "old legends". For some old information but maybe some don´t know all of these, like Khali or Dheetoo.

Of course there are stories of hunting man-eaters by Jim Corbett but that’s not really the publicity that we are looking for. Some tigers that stood out here were Dheetoo & Khali"

So the guy who made that article thought "they all look the same" Wink Well I have to look if I can find confirmed photos, Khali should be easy but Dheetoo can be more difficult. Or just remove photos, those were there just as "decorations" after all, text was the thing.

RE: Tiger Directory - Apollo - 09-04-2019

When tiger populations dwindle in one reserve, a chosen male or female is tranquilised at the Kanha Tiger Reserve in Mandla, after being suitably identified for the purpose, from another reserve, and is then translocated to a new reserve, for re-stocking and breeding purposes.

The vet touches the pupil of the tiger's eyeball to check if it is moist. They dip the tigress in water and fan her to keep her cool in the August monsoon heat and humidity. A muzzle is also placed on her mouth.

This tiger was moved from Madhya Pradesh in central India on 22nd June 2018.

“If there is hope in the future, there is literally power in the present.”
.
.
The Gorgeous new lady is T-111 aka Shakti , daughter is legendary T-19 aka Krishna. The blood line of legend T16, Machhli.
Entering this zone was much more than excitement because Krishna and her 3 cubs currently living in this beautiful area. And also some part of the zone belongs to the queen of lakes Arrowhead.
All i wanted is to see Krishna’s family together however i know it was too much to ask for ?
But luckily we saw all 3 cubs of Krishna separately in different parts of zone.
I specially like Shakti as she is Bold and Beautiful just like her mother. She has the same grace, confidence, ferociousness all in there to become the next queen of Ranthambhore.
On very sunny day in 45c heat , she was relaxing in muddy natural waterhole giving her own time to her admirers. After a while when sun started going down she woke up, walked a while and sat on open area to start her grooming session.
She is no doubt a hope for next generation of this beautiful park and we can already feel the power she carries in her. So my quote above is dedicated to this beauty!
