RE: Tiger Directory - Pckts - 03-01-2018

I was always under the impression that it is Mangu not Bheem who has the long scar on their nose, like the one Bamera had.

I wanted to post Bheem prior and see if you guys could let me know what you think.
Thanks

Injured yet Spirited.... Mangu- Massive male from Bandhavgarh
Murching Sujatha Very prominent injury on his nose... looked fresh and must've been from some territorial fight

The first one is Bheem... The second one is Mangu... Apparently both decided to have a similar scar on the same spot. Clearly they're copying Bamera!   Neutral

RE: Tiger Directory - Apollo - 03-03-2018

Bheem and Mangu are brothers.
They both appeared around the same time.
Bheem took control of Khitauli and Mangu took control of Magdhi.
They both were possibly the sons of Mangal (son of B2 and brother of Bamera).
Both the brothers dominated the tourism zone.
They were directly responsible for the disappearance of many males from tourism zone like Rahasy, Kanwar, pushparaj, Bamera, Jobhi etc.
I've heard Bheem and Mangu fought each other last year, but I don't know whether this conflict resulted in the nose cut.

A got Identifier I've noticed is over their Right eye, Mangu seems to have 3 separate lines where Bheem doesn't.

I do wonder how Bheem got his scar, Mangu had his in April of last year while Bheem's has only been noticed since late last year/early this year.

"Bheem / Boomer"
A growl that can make u weak in the knees, specially when it comes from the biggest tiger in Bandhavgarh

When asked about which is larger between him and Mangu

Zian Shirazi Balendu SoniPhotographs and videos can be deceptive....... I have seen both tigers and feel that because of Bheem being a taller tiger than Mangu with probably the same proportion of mass or more would make him the bigger tiger...... but we will never ever really know for sure until we get their exact weigh and measurements

Who is this

@paul cooper
I'd guess that's Neelam of Kanha.

Himanshu Saraf Photography
The Sangam male tiger is one of the largest tigers in Kanha National Park and recently became infamous when he killed an adult female tiger, something extremely unusual. This sighting was a result of some superb tracking by the guide and driver based on the call of a monkey and later on the tiger itself. This was my first tiger sighting and I was lucky to have witnessed it on my first safari itself. I came across a group who took six safaris in the park and didn't manage to see a tiger. Your timing, quality of guide and driver and luck play an important role in tiger sightings. This particular sighting was brief and towards the end of the day when the light was fading but it will always have a special place in my heart for the ever lasting impact it made on me.

Did you get a chance to see bajrang and choti Tara mating?

RE: Tiger Directory - Roflcopters - 03-26-2018

I heard it was a chance encounter, Matkasur was out with the two sub adults when Bajrang crossed over to Jamni Lake and found Choti Tara there. I dont think Bajrang will try that again around Matkasur or these two could get into a serious fight. both are established males with big territories. Also it seems like my suspicions were true, Ginaji aka Kali the son of Namdev has taken over Alijanja buffer from Narasimha and now can be seen with Jharni. he's also the father of her new litter. this explains Narasimha's sightings around Matkasur's territory. fingers crossed, hope Narasimha finds a place to settle down.
