Posted the video some time ago in the tiger extinction thread. Big male, well over 200 kg. (440 lbs.). Some posters responded to the post. If I remember correctly, the tiger was known.

Actually there were two radiocollaring videos from Panna.
Both the videos showed the collaring of two different male tigers.
One video was identified as the collaring of T3 male (weighed 240kg).
But this one as far as I know is not identified.

It's about time he got the recognition he deserves...

This gentleman here has been nicknamed Nantu by the guides & photographers. He is currently the dominant male tiger of the Sajnekhali Wildlife Sanctuary (<see link for map) the most sighted & camera-friendly individual of the marshes.

There are lots of photos of him & he can be easily identified by the "fragmented cross-mark on his right cheek".
This one was taken from the Sudhanyakhali (marked in map) watch-tower.

A video showing a wild Siberian tiger intrigued by an infrared camera was shot in Muling, northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, on Aug 13, 2017.
It was the sixth time the Siberian tigers had been caught on film in the region.

Very sad news from Kanha...

The old matriarch Budbudi female (T-83), Machhli's equivalent in Kanha, is no more! Her last sighting was on 1st January, 2018.

I quote Vijayarajan Muthu's post in the FB group Tigers of Kanha:

"A half eastern Caracas was found yesterday evening in Kisli & has been positively identified as Budbudi female.

Initial reports strongly suggest she was apparently killed, & also partially eaten, by Sangam male (T-56). While the reason behind her gruesome death is yet to be ascertained, we at ToK are saddened by her sudden demise."

R.I.P

PS: She was seen mating with Sangam male last May, & also 3 others (T-2, T-67 & the new M1) in 2017 alone. Guess things didn't work out...

Sad day, R.I.P. big girl, you’ll be missed. Her cubs are presumed dead as well but this isn’t confirmed.
