Sultanpur was one of three male cubs born to the Lahpur – Nagdi tigress T22 and father Jhumaroo and is a direct descendent of the park’s matriarch, Machali. He and his two brothers, Indala and Dollar, grew up in the rich hunting grounds of Nagdi - Lahpur before moving on to their present territories.
After separating from his mother, Sultanpur took residence in Chidi Kho valley of Sawai Mansingh Sanctuary, just south of the National Park. Sometime later he was seen limping, prompting the Forest Department to tranquilize him to extract a thorn from his front paw. T24 was fitted with a radio collar to monitor his progress.
Once T12, the dominant male of the Sultanpur area was relocated to Sariska National Park, T24 immediately occupied his territory. But in 2010, he found himself in trouble having been blamed for attacking and killing a villager who had gone into the park to collect wood.

T24 is a serious contender for one of the most dominate male tigers. He has been in quite a few scraps and seems to always come out on top.

Poachers kill tigress with GPS collar in Madhya Pradesh
BHOPAL: Poachers killed yet another tigress – fourth in the last two years – with an electric trap at the buffer zone of Bandgavgarh National Park (BNP) in Umeria district of Madhya Pradesh late on Sunday night.
Carcass of adult tigress – BT2- was found near Khitoli range by the patrolling squad at 8.30 am, said sources. Its GPS radio collar, nail and tooth’s were reported missing.
This tigress was electrocuted by trap laid through a 11 KV line by poachers near barruah nullah, said sources.
Carcass has been preserved in a deep freezer. Post-mortem would be conducted as per National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) protocol.
Earlier three tigers were killed by poachers in the same area forcing the state government to remove P K Shukla from the post of state’s chief wildlife warden.
Last tiger was poached in Jugia village near Vijayraghogarh forest range (compartment No 448- Amadi beat) in December 2012.
The tiger got killed on the intervening night of December 25-26 after it stepped on a live 50 metre GI-wire from the 11KV service line pegged to a wooden pole. The spot is at 60 km away from the Bandhavgarh National Park.
The tiger, around 9 feet long, suffered a major shock and died on the spot after it got in contact with the live wire.
Another tiger had fallen into a similar electric trap and got killed on December 7, 2012. It’s skinned carcass was found in the forest area of Umaria, approximately 25 kilometres away from Bandhavgarh national park on December 11.
More tigers were electrocuted in the Khitauli range of the Katni District and Kathotia forest area close to the state capital.

This handsome young male was named Challenger when he was only 2 years and had challenged his father's territory. In the brawl that followed, Challenger was no match to his big father popularly known as B2, and he lost half of his left ear in the fight with his father. He was the first male who gave B2 tough time. Also Bokha never came to Jurjura, Mahaman or Chorbhera area because of him but unfortunately he had a tragic death in 2003/04 since then only Bokha moved into his territory.
His death was a mystery, lot of speculations, some people say that he had a fight with B2, his father once again, but B2 was spotted 2 days later absolutely fine, and without any scars. If 2 Tigers fight there would be some marks on the Tiger who wins also. So why is that? Some people said he was caught in a jaw trap and was attacked by another male tiger. Poor young fella, unable to defends himself. Some other said that He was manage to get away along the snare attached to his neck and few days later they still saw Challenger with the snare around his neck. There was some kind of infection above his nose and he died very soon. what a loss.

He's Dead unfortunately. Can't remember the exact cause of death. I think it was poison or electrocution if I remember correctly. What a waste, he was a awesome male.
