Sitara, locally called so, who bears a five point star mark on his left eye; the T-28 male tiger is the real pride of Ranthambore. The tiger fans must recognize it through the notable territorial fight with the “lady of the lakes”- the Machali in early 2009 (the 1st of April). His father X-male at that time was the most dominating male tiger in the entire reserve. The common territories of T-28 were Gilai Sagar, Thumka and surrounding parts of the north east end of the national park, where he and his brother (T-29) spent their early stages. These territories were not accessible through the visitors and have few motor able tracks. This was the reason people came lesser to know about them at their early stages. But later it was during early winters (January) of 2008 that Sitara was first noticed by the tourists around the area of Berda. He soon extended his range up to Lakkara and also covered the lake area of Jhalara and Nalghati. Today, he is one of the few dominant males of Ranthambore and has acquired the areas of Nalghati, Jhalara, almost the entire Mandoop plateau, Lakkarda and the three lakes (Padam Talao, Raj Bagh and Malik Talao).He is the young nomadic male in the 'tiger queen' Documentary. He was estimated to weigh around 250Kg (when he was a young male).

During the safari in Magdhi Zone, if you notice the giant pugmarks of a male tiger, then he will be Bokha Tiger of Bandhavgarh. Bokha ruled Magdhi range of Bandhavgarh forest and was usually seen in that area. In childhood, during conflict with other tiger, one of his teeth was broken, due to which, he was given the name Bokha. He was a healthy male tiger that often had conflicts with male B2 who ruled Tala zone area.
On June 1st 2012, Bokha the 14 year old tiger passed away, due to injuries sustained during a territorial fight. Five days before his death Bokha mauled a man to death, so the Park officials started monitoring is movement. According to the officials, there were two young tigers eyeing on Bokha's territory and one of them attacked him. Park officials from time to time gave Bokha medicines, but he didnt recover due to old age and severe injury. On Friday June 1st He ate two goats provided by the park officials and then walked 4 to 5 kms before it slumped near a water body and died. The dead Bokha did not have a canine tooth and there were bite marks on its left leg and back.

Nicknamed the lady of the lakes, she was the darling of Ranthambore. The original Crocodile Hunter. She was the daughter of another tigress called Machli but someone mistook her for her mother and the name carried on. She had 5 litters of which she raised 9 cubs to adulthood. She was a fiercely dedicated mother and had many battles with larger male tigers to protect her kills and her cubs. Machli is the highly photographed wild tiger in the world and she was followed by B2 in the second place, hence she won an award for that.

Khali is the most famous tiger at present at Corbett National Park. There was a video clip of a territorial fight between Khali and Bhola, which showed us the massive size difference between these two cats. Khali was considered to be 1.3 to 1.5 times bigger than a normal prime Bengal male tiger. He was estimated around 650 to 750 pounds.

Jay was born and raised in Nagzira wildlife sanctuary which is located at Gondia district. When he was around two years old, he had a fight with his father Dendu and was injured.
In August 2013, Jay walked 100km crossed National Highway 6, one of India’s busiest corridors, waded through Vidarbha's biggest river Wainganga, then in spate and made his way to a forest on the other side. Conservationists talk of stunned villagers spotting him audaciously squatting on the road or indifferently dodging human traffic.
The reason for this long journey could be due to the abnormal male – female ratio at Nagzira which as six male tigers and only two female tigers (both these tigresses are very old and one of them is Jay's mom)
Finally Jay reached Umred-Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary, where he chased out a resident male tiger and took control of 70 sq km territory.

Easy to spot with his offset tail, Yeda anna has not let this affect his survival or his good looks.
Crooked Tail arrived in Tadoba in 2006. He was completely unknown at the time but soon started to have real impact because of the paucity of dominant males at this time in the area. Boom and Hilltop male had for years had the run of the mill to themselves and so Crooked Tail came as a wake-up call to them.Soon Crooked Tail, a big muscular male was nestling in on their turf and slowly he began to push Hill top male north and settling into his own prime territory.
At this time he was so sure of himself that he began to become an extraordinary thief, seldom seen hunting himself he found it easier to steal from his ladies or even on one occasion from wild dogs.
By 2008 he was at his prime and covering a number of tigresses, including Vasanti (J4) and Laxmi (M1) and probably others.
After 2011 Yeda anna was chased off from his territory by the Mighty Waghdoh (M8). So he moved out and found refuge at cheezghat and vasanth mandhara area in Tadoba Range. Right now he rules the place.

He is the dominant male from Lahpur area of Ranthambore. T-29 made his remarkable figure around the Berda – Lakkarda – Bandarwal ki Baori area. Probably at the begining of 2011, T-29 was being observed with severe leg injury when the jungle officials managed to tranquilize and treat him but that did not help him. The injury would be very serious and this is why he was not seen in the area since then. He is been missing for the past 3.5 years.
