RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - BA0701 - 03-17-2024 (03-16-2024, 09:14 PM)Brahimlegend Wrote: Ncila Tintswalo mating this morning on H7. So, have they abandoned the Mbiri Pride entirely? I am concerned for all of the Skorro cubs, and what has become of them. Thanks for the correction, @"Brahimlegend" , accidentally named the wrong pride. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Brahim - 03-17-2024 Seems like it they always seen with Skorro pride lately RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - BA0701 - 03-17-2024 (03-17-2024, 01:34 AM)Brahimlegend Wrote: Seems like it they always seen with Skorro pride lately Yes, sorry, I meant the Skorro Pride, not sure why I typed Torchwood. Thank you, my friend, for the correction. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Potato - 03-18-2024 Satara Lion pride in Sweni territory and Mayambula male takes over their meal -Kruger National Park We got a report of a pride of lions who had caught a zebra on the S126 which forms part of the Sweni prides territory. Upon arriving at the sighting the pride of lions were part of the Satara pride controlled by the 4 Shishangaan males (Casper and his brothers). It’s not often they go that far south, we wondered if the Mayambula males would come and take over the zebra through the night. Upon returning in the morning the Mayambula male missing the tip of his tail was on the scene and the Satara lioness were about 1km north of him assuming he chased them off during the night. On the third day we returned again and only the same Mayambula male was in the area. So some really interesting dynamics happening between the Sweni and Satara lion prides. For now it appears the Mayambula males have taken over a portion of the Sweni pride but we wonder if a potential clash of territories between the Mayambula and Shishangaan lion coalitions is brewing especially with the Satara pride venturing into their territory. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Brahim - 03-19-2024 4 of the 7 Satara males seen this morning 5km North of Satara. Eventually 3 moved south and the 4th stayed behind for some reason. Better footage coming later. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Tr1x24 - 03-24-2024 @"Brahimlegend" can you confirm ID of this 3 males, description says old Nwanetsi male and 2 Mangana males, not sure who these guys are, that big maned male looks alot like 1/3 Sweni Pride males: RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - T_Ferguson - 03-24-2024 (03-24-2024, 10:23 PM)Tr1x24 Wrote: @"Brahimlegend" can you confirm ID of this 3 males, description says old Nwanetsi male and 2 Mangana males, not sure who these guys are, that big maned male looks alot like 1/3 Sweni Pride males: Don't know if this helps. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Brahim - 03-25-2024 So bigger maned boy is N'wanetsi male, son of the Old N'wanetsi males who ruled before old sweni. He was seen since last year with an unknown pride north of singita 7 lioness and one boy with one eye and cut ear. Lately Maputo and xai xai have taken over that pride likely sending these 2 out. The other male is the smaller of the 2 older S90 males. I would assume that means he lost his darkmane brother and pride unfortunately. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Tr1x24 - 03-25-2024 (03-25-2024, 06:04 PM)Brahimlegend Wrote: The other male is the smaller of the 2 older S90 males. I would assume that means he lost his darkmane brother and pride unfortunately. Yea, he looked similar to him, but werent they seen not long ago on s90? Who ousted them? A lot of young coalitions around Satara and north of Satara lately, like those 2 coalitions who chased each other lately, in 1 of which was Nsemani young male with Ngotso sons, chasing Ngotso and cant remember who. So big maned male is N'wanetsi son, young male is Mangana young male and old boy is 1/2 s90. Ty. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Brahim - 03-25-2024 Most likely culprits maybe satara males or young s90/nsemani guys. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Brahim - 03-25-2024 One eye young boy is from unknown pride guys at singita don't know that pride RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Tr1x24 - 03-25-2024 (03-25-2024, 06:25 PM)Brahimlegend Wrote: Most likely culprits maybe satara males or young s90/nsemani guys. Isnt that too north for Satara boys? Although recently they where seen further north. Young S90 boys are sons of Ngotso males right? If so then they chased their father with younger Nkaya Pan on this video : Also, any news on 3 Sweni pride males since Mayambulas most likely invaded then? RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Brahim - 03-25-2024 Satara males were seen near their territory recently so possible. Not sure I assumed those 2 are sons of s90 but they could not be. All I know is young s90 males been with that s90 pride for few years. |
