Dreadlocks seen with a Nkhulu male and a lioness couple days back sporting some new face scars

[attachment=11665][attachment=11666][attachment=11667]Regarding the video of the new De Laporte injuries, by the guy who”s usually reporting on the Gomondwane’s. I like the guy’s videos but man he gets close to (or does) present speculation as fact. And the speculation at times is wrong.

I was in the Kruger Oct 11 to Oct 25 and saw a remarkable amount of male coalitions. Lots of pics to come soon once I process them.

On Oct 22 I heard there was a coalition by Kumana dam. Having wanted to see the Southern Swenis, I drove immediately from the South hoping to catch them. Saw these monsters just moments before a large heard of elephant spooked them.

Check out the size of the left most and right most male. As I said months ago, perspective, ground differences, eating, mane variation all make judging lion size extremely difficult but seems these two are really something.

Yeah I tried to watch one of his videos the otherday I saw hippo pools male from years ago and also mazithi/tshokwane male but he was talking about gomondwane males having intruders and gomondwane being alone. But Gomondwane are fine and aren't ever alone for too long. Dreadlocks just looks like a Nkhulu male slapped him for mating rights probably nothing going on.

@widmerk Great sighting of Kumana young males. They make up a coalition of 7 males with their father the last Mluwati male. They had some more brothers also not sure if they are alive.

Thanks for that Brahim.

On Oct 15 I picked up 3 Mayembelas, very full at the plain before Muzandzeni picnic area. Had for about an hour before another car came. Next day, had them again a few kilometers South, and after some searching found they had a giraffe kill in a ravine, and five brothers there. Pics of this later.

Saw a friend I hadn’t seen in years at the sighting (he was with me for our first Casper sighting years ago), and told him the Leubron males had taken over Hamilton pride. He left for that area, hour later I come up to him, and he tells me he had a large female pride (Hamilton) right beside the car before some a-hole pulled up behind him and starting taking selfies out his roof and scared off the pride. He drives off, I scan a bit looking for the females and picked up the Leubrons. Stunning.
