Idk if this 2 are in coalition or not, they seem to be around the same age. Its unknown from where they came from.

They might get some action soon as 3 young males where seen there in last month:

Valentin Pacaut: " Lion and light. Kruger National Park, South Africa.

Met this beautiful male lion at the end of the day. He was actually mating with a lioness, probably just starting to mate. Both of them will stay together for a few days. Not so far, about 20 meters away, another male lion is waiting for his chance. "

The ever impressive South Shishangeni male lion wears his battle scars with clear confidence, as he patrol his territory in the Kruger National Park.
[The most impressive lion in the kruger in my opinion]

I agree with you that he appears to be the lion or one of the most impressive lions in all KNP.

Beautiful male lion on the S1, near Skukuza, seen yesterday on our way out of the park.

This one is 1/3 the Southern/Talamati young males. He looked a little stressful and has biting marks on his back.
