Ok, a very interesting update. For now I'm posting it here, then if it needs moving to a more appropiate thread, I'll move it.

The info is by William Esworth from his facebook group "Lions of Kruger National Park".

I've got a very interesting update for the group. I think it's the Matimba males and the Skybed males. Andrew Charles saw two male lions kill another male recently. "As we were staying at Tamboti on the 10th/11th of May 2016 we witnessed 2 younger males all but kill an older Male in the dry river bed in front of our Tent have some great footage of this sighting too. I have some video footage but currently don't have access to my computer once I get it I can show it to you but it was around 5am so it's filmed in low light I have a couple of still that I'll send you now but they aren't great " Photo taken by Andrew Charles.

I'm looking forward to see the video now.

"The 4 Hilda's Rock male lions were born in March/April 2010 and they are the pride males of the Kumana dam pride(8 lionesses and 9 cubs). These 4 males dominate the Kumana dam area in KNP. Some people call them the Kumana dam males too."

A shot of the popular white male Lion “Casper” jaunting across the bush east of Satara in the KNP. What a rare beauty he is!

can't wait to see the updates. Apparently two of the Northern Matimbas were spotted by a photographer on the 06th June in prime condition so rumors has it that it was a Skybed that was on the receiving end. But rumors are just noise, let's wait for the facts to unfold.

So far I haven't read anything else on this event, so you're very right. There's no point in especulating without facts.
