Nice to see a new recent photo for this dating couple at Rhino Post safari lodge area, one of the two Mantimahle young males.
And, it’s confirmed the Mantimahle #5 and his two sons/nephews are all around the same area recently, all good.

I have been absolutely blessed with great sightings of lions and thus day was no different when I came across one of the strongest coalition in the Southern parts of the Kruger National Park. This is the Gomondwane coalition. On this day they were 3 of them together but in total there are 5 of them. Big coalitions of male lions hardly ever stay together and although they may see and come into contact with each other they will break up into different groups. The crocodile Bridge area has some really amazing looking lions at the moment.
The Gomondwane males are the biggest coalition in the Southern Kruger at the moment and they took over the Vurhami pride from the Shishangeni males..
The Shishangeni males are spending their time now mostly near Hippo pools area and are also looking in great condition...

The Old Warrior 1/2 S129 male. He was in the fight with hyenas in July, another report he was in the fight this week with other male. Life is too hard for this old lion warrior. So sad, but I understand it's cycle of life.

Up close and pulses racing with 2 of the Kruger National Park's biggest male lions on territorial patrol. They are known as the Ngotso Coalition (Aka Blondie and Vuku) and rule a prime territory in central Kruger along the Ngotso stream.
We were very fortunate to have some good sightings of these majestic males during the past month. They were coming off a large meal in one of the sightings and appeared even bigger with their inflated bellies.
