I think there are a lots of questions and few answers for many lion coalitions in the Kruger National Park, KNP is too big and many parts are inaccessible, I think this is the case of the area where the Leeubron males had and have their territory, hence there is not so much information or sightings of these awesome guys. @kobe8jf1234

Between 2016/2017 the male in the back of the photos disappeared it is "speculated" that he may have been killed by rival males, after the incursion of the Shishangeni males into the Crocodile Bridge area there was a change in dynamics as they would no longer allow anyone else to be dominant their ambition was such that they practically drove out or ended the competition.

Hidden knowledge of the Shishangaam males!

The Shishangaan coalition of males in their younger days, the photographer described this coalition as 7 young males, this leaves a question that these boys in their early days could have been 7 members that formed the coalition, in the top left you can notice the oldest male known as the grumpy or one-eyed one.

_ And this gives us to understand that Shishangaan males have been dominant since around 2012/2013.

The 2 Shishangeni males have been very visible on the boundary of their territory close to Crocodile Bridge of late. They have been looking and listening very attentively to the east...are they getting more concerned about the Gomondwane males, who now outnumber them considerably!

Great photos Titose.

Were the Ngotso males introduced from Kgalagadi? The first Image the sand and grass as well at first glance look like the Kgalagadi ecosystem or perhaps the Balule area (of KNP) has that kind of similarities
I don't really have any information if these males were transferred from another reserve, but it's very likely!

Personally, I doubt it. The Kruger ecosystem already has a viable and genetically diverse lion population. It would be pretty redundant of them and a waste of time, energy and resources to translocate lions from hundreds of kilometres away just to add to an already strong population, even more so if it's mostly for aesthetic reasons.
who father these big males ?
