@Rishi :

About #62: With a photo like this one, we can say that the history (the ancient temple) is one with the nature (the tiger...). Long live Asia !

@Rishi
Wasn't the last seen video of her after she was injured in fight with T25 if I remember correctly?

T74 was alive and well in august 2015

T25 was taking care of the cubs after Sundari left, it was pretty infamous at the time as well at the Forest Department, so the cubs probably moved off now, hopefully.

Star male aka T28 aged died today after forest staff rescued him from a farm outside the forest. Old age and continued pressure from younger males pushed him to the edge of forest. He was badly injured as per officials probably due to fight with other males in area and found refuge in a farm.

RIP dear friend - you had lived a glorious life and thankfully did not suffer much.

He was arguably the largest male in Ranthambore during his prime. R.I.P. Big fella, thanks for the memories.

"Born to be Star...
It is really quite disheartening to hear the death news of Ranthambhore's erstwhile ruler of the lake area. Ranthambhore has lost its star... Star Male or T-28 is no more. Star has recently been defeated by more powerful male, Mirza Raja (T-91) and then he had a confrontation with the present ruler of the Lake area, namely, Chirico or Sikandar Male (T-86). Most of the time, he was found to be roaming outside the Lake territory.
Belongling to the parentage of X-Male or Big Daddy (T-2) and Gilai Sagar Female (T-27), Star was first seen in the Lake area in later 2009. For the first time, Machali's long ruled patch of ground had got a massive male ruler, who is out of her blood lineage. He was featured in the celebrated documentaries like 'Tiger Queen', 'The Tiger's Revenge' and more recently, in 'The World's Most Famous Tiger' (a dedication to Machali), all directed by Subbiah Nalla Muthu. May his gene achieve a great path of survival through his descendants. "

A life well lived, ending the way it's more or less meant to.

On 3rd April, the Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve got its first stripe.

The young male tiger T-91 Mirza, from Ranthambore's Southeastern buffer, was tranquilised & transported there. He was initially released into a 30hectare enclosure...

Two females were to reach the reserve within this month...but NTCA ordered a halt because of protocol not being followed properly. More on that later.
