RE: Big Cat's Canines and Claws - willian - 01-29-2018

greetings! to all forum friends.

I'm from Brazil, I'm a big fan of animals, especially the wonderful ecosystem of Siberia.
I've collected scrimshaws for some years, it's not a great collection; just 10 or 12 teeth.

I'm looking for some tiger teeth and claws, I know it's possible to buy legally. Could someone here help me? thank you

[I do not speak English, I'm using google translator! sorry for the mistakes]

@willian

The purpose of this thread is only for visualization and comparison, it has nothing to do with the canines/claws trade, and it is against our moral compass.

RE: Big Cat's Canines and Claws - willian - 01-29-2018

hi grizzlyclaw,  thank for the answer!

I see "Betty" have a lot of canine tooth, where I could buy one for me? I know is possible buy legally .

even if the forum is not intended for this, could you help me? I saw that you seem to have a beautiful collection.

the user "betty" works with jewels made of claws? I think my questions will not hurt anyone's morals.
I seek only one or two teeth, coming from captive animals, and death from natural causes. Betty has so many teeth,
somewhere she gets them. I see no reason for secrets.

Since this forum is about conservation, let's avoid buying ILLEGAL parts of animals.

THANK YOU

@willian

@Betty doesn't own any teeth and claws, he is just posting other people's private collection.

Depending on the shape, this may belong to the lion's lower canine, the upper canine larger than this.

Thank you for your comprehension.

We are pretty much on the borderline right now, since some members here are already getting disturbed by the fact some of these big cat items might be derived from the illegal farms.

The purpose of this thread is only about to discuss on the powerful tools of the big cats, but we don't have any intention to hurt people's feeling.

The 11 cm lower canine teeth are usually correlating with 12 cm upper canine teeth for lion, but 12.5-13 cm for tiger.

The difference between the lower/upper canine teeth is smaller in lion than in tiger.

RE: Big Cat's Canines and Claws - Betty - 01-31-2018

Tiger, length 10--12cm.
