Are the actual measurements of the skulls the same listed by the Bone Clones?

Yes they have the same measurements listed by Bone Clones,  African Lion Skull is not the largest one it is the smaller one that measures 36 centimeters long.

@ GrizzlyClaws did I measure the fangs right? Is there a different way to measure fangs?

RE: Big Cat's Canines and Claws - GrizzlyClaws - 03-05-2017

@epaiva

So the skull is 48 cm for the American lion and 39 cm for the Siberian tiger?

I think your given measurements are correct.

@GrizzlyClaws

-   Siberian Tiger measures 39 cm long and 25,4 cm wide,
-   African Lion 36 cm long and  24,4 cm wide,
-   American Lion did not measure 48 centimeters long, it measures 47 cm long and 29,5 cm wide.

@epaiva

Maybe @tigerluver can also help us how to correctly assess the length given by the caliper.

Is this measurement 7.1 cm or 7.5 cm?

It is 7,1 cm

From the upper inner part of the mouth to the lower it's 7.5 cm. When using the mouth of the caliper you use the the measurement where the sliding part's 0 rests. You do this because if you notice, the top half of the mouth of the caliper is touching the object a few millimeters before the stationary part's 0.

Usually the electronic caliper would be handier to see the measurement.

@epaiva BTW, can you re-measure the skull length by correctly counting where the part ending at zero?

@epaiva

Do you have the newly measured skull length?
