From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve:
"We stumbled upon the Kigelia female yesterday after she had killed a small buffalo calf and spent some time with her as she fed, quite nervously in fact. The carcass was far too large for her to hoist the kill in a tree and so she was very vulnerable in that position. Upon following up this morning, we found the Southern Pride on the kill, hastily consuming the free meal. Luckily for them the young leopard wasn’t able to consume a large amount."

Half brother. Same father, but different mother. Mvula is born in 2005, Mbavala is born in 2004.

"After his fight with the Kashane male a few days back, Maxabeni immediately managed to kill a small bushbuck close to Selati Camp. We caught up with him yesterday afternoon as he was finishing off the last remains."

"The Kashane Male was seen deep in Maxabeni's territory, marking as he went. He then later moved further north and came across the kudu that had been fed on previously by Little Bush, her cub and a hyena."

"The Kashane male was seen again, heading deeper into Maxabeni’s territory after finishing up at the now very ripe kudu carcass. Some hours later, Maxabeni was moving through the reserve, along the same path Kashane was yesterday, territorially calling along the way. Another encounter between the two is certainly inevitable."

"The Nkoveni female on the move in the late morning. Unfavourable light gives one the opportunity to experiment with different camera settings, and I was on a low shutter speed here to blur the motion and accentuate the leopard’s movement."

"We found the Nkoveni female again later that same evening, and watched with our hearts in our mouths as she stalked to within 10m of a herd of impala. Unfortunately for her they drifted just too far out of her ambush zone and she was forced to move off into the dusk. The next morning however, she was again tracked and found by Freddy Ngobeni, and she had a bushbuck kill to show for her night’s hunting."

A longer lens meant I didn’t have a wide enough angle to capture the whole scene, but the Lightroom software is able to overcome that.
