RE: the Selati coalition - Tshokwane - 10-22-2016

All of this fuss over nothing.

At that time, what SVTIGRIS asked was a simple question, which I allowed because he had no ill intentions and the subject did not progress further after that.

As for the other matter, relax.

Both of you are right to some extent, but the tone in which you said things wasn't.

So, if you @Georgel deleted your own post, then there was no censoring. Just because you don't like the way he's expressing himself doesn't mean he's censoring you, in any case Ngala could have said it in a better way.

In the future, if you see something you don't like or you don't get why it is there, you could ask politely to the local mod about it instead of just demanding for it to be deleted.

With this matter settled, I want this to be the end of it, please.

There is really no point in this silly in-fighting, because the reason we come here to is to learn and to discuss the things we learn, not to just mindlessly argue with each other.

And furthermore, it just messes with the information in the thread, which is about the Selati males.

Thank you.

I wonder which one of the Selati is this bad boy? Also, is he one of the two who are still alive?

I think it is the one below in the pic, the one with the injuries in the forehead. But, to be fair, I don't know if he's one of the two that remain alive, I've always had trouble identifying these boys facially.

My answer has been deleted. Now closing this controvery please, and back to talk about Nature.

Thank you.

@Georgel This is an open forum and you should understand that people from different country with different age group join and post. You should be very broad minded and forgiving if you join places like this for discussion.
Ngala is not only respected member and moderator here but he has contributed with wonderful information here.

(Btw, I had some doubts before decided to join this forum, because I've read the posts of one of the moderators on Youtube and I really disliked them, but I've thought that I could contribute and benefit. Now I think I've made a mistake. In my opinion your tone has nothing to do with moderation, so for a while I'll stay away from this forum. )

You have already made your mind for WildFact in a negative way and his tone may seems little harsh but he was not insulting you.
Keep your faith with WildFact mods team becasue we are in continuous work to make this place one of the best place for wild animals lovers and sometime it is not easy to please everyone

As far as I know, yes. There aren't many updates of them, that's true, but the latest I've read, I think Ngala posted it, they were still together in the region you say.

From Tintswalo Safari Lodge:
Safari Update
Yesterday morning, The talamati pride was also found close to Buffelshoek camp.
In the afternoon, The Talamati pride was also found in the same location.
This morning provided a few nice surprises. The Talamti pride and both Selati male Lions were found on Buffelshoek plains, total number of Lions 16.

On the 15th, things seemed to turn our way when the Talamati pride was found in the South on a buffalo kill. The biggest surprise was the 2 new little cubs that was present and it was the first time that we viewed them. Exceptional! There are now 4 different generations of cubs in this pride ranging from 2 months, to about 16 months old. The only worry is that the one injured Selati male was not with the pride at the time, making it only the one Selati male that will serve as pride protector. His going to have to hold his own when looking over the rest of the pride of 21 individuals.

So the other Selati, the one with the bad hip, has not been seen for a while.

I think so, yes.

Well, today I was re-checking the comments in hat post, and in one the photographer said that one of the other rangers had seen the other Selati return with the pride. So we'll have to wait for confirmation on it, maybe a pic.

It's their thread, so yeah. It's the two of them, #1 up, #4 down.

From Tintswalo Safari Lodge:
"The afternoon of the 3rd, had all the predators from the morning being relocated in the same place. Some of our guides went south, and found both the Selati male Lions and the old Talamati lioness on buffelshoek plains."
