Brothers shield themselves and one another from an afternoon rainstorm. These are two of a new coalition of four young male lions currently referred to as 'The Nomads', who have recently moved into the Maasai Mara.

"Scarface" from July 2011. He had just got this wound when I got this picture in Masai Mara. This lion now is the boss of the biggest pride in Masai Mara, in fact the biggest pride of lions that I have ever seen or even heard of.

He was treated almost a dozen times.. 
May be being in Mara helped his cause..
He is one the most impressive lions though.. (Along with Notches, Offbeat males and 4 KM males)
