In case anyone wasn't aware, Lions-The Living Legends Facebook and Instagram pages have a breif video of the fatal encounter posted. You can really see the size difference between Logol and the three that attacked him.

Heavy and sad news to announcing the death of the king Logol, one of the Mara legends died in a battle with the Enkoyonai males. Logol is the reigning king of the most famous pride in Mara "Marsh Pride" leaving his companion and Marsh Pride to more difficult challenges after his death.

¡RIP Warrior!

There are more than 1 video of the confrontation and different cameras as well. Of course nobody posts the full video because they make decisions not to based on thinking its too gorey or whatever. I can't stand that. So all we get to see is 10 second clip. Its so aggravating to me why people think its ok to only show the pretty things instead of the more common, and realistic stuff that ain't so pretty. So the Mara will promote, and post stories on how the vets were called on a lion and how he was treated but will never post anything to do about a lion being speared and killed. Such hypocrisy.

The immortal Legend of Mara, Lolparpit
He and his brother achieved the unachievable, only two in an alliance that surpassed all expectations and the big alliances, a legend who made a huge legacy in Mara in everywhere, his legacy ruling after him successfully and spreading the descendants of the Godfather of Mara.

Getting updates about Morani, his Son, and their Pride, somewhat regularly, is great!

The confidence of a king is unshakable, no matter how big the risks on his way.

A breathtaking shot of the king of the Fig tree pride, Jesse II aka Orbarikoi defending his territory.

The Legend Loonkito.

This scarred face of the old warrior, who is beyond myth, the oldest lion in the wild ever, up to 18 years old. Thankfully we managed to get a new update, seen five days ago but this time with another old lion, it's his 13-year-old son. His name is Ngarbes, they are all amazing and looking healthy according to the update from the photographer.

Not sure when this was filmed, but it is a really good video showing an attempted take-over of the Fig Tree Pride, whose current pride male is Olbarikoi AKA Jesse 2, by Black Rock boys Olobor and Oloshipa. These two have already killed Jesse 2's brother, and he is being a good father leading his pride from the danger.

An interesting aside, this video is a great example of how cubs can get lost during such conflicts. While no cubs appear to have been lost here, you can see some of them are struggling to keep up with the quick pace of the adults.

It isn't often that we get to see such interactions, especially videos that remain following the escaping pride for such a long distance. To help make up for having pushed the pride so hard, some of the lionesses take down a zebra, and the entire prides shares in the spoils.

Yes its very easy for those little guys to get left behind. I must happen so much. Glad they all made it. Jesse2 doing the best he can a a single male in a land of danger!
