But why would he focus on raising white tigers if he was truly trying to conserve tigers in general then having a white tiger would be at the bottom of the list. Since they don't occur in the wild why would he care about raising them in captivity unless he was hoping to sell them? That is the only thing that is fishy. It is also the cause of the gov't not getting behind him because his tigers are bengal/siberian hybrids and not pure blood.

It may be rare or unheard of nowadays, but the white tiger can still occur in the wild. This one was spotted in Nilgiris Biosphere Reserve in southern India, 2017: https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/tamil-nadu/white-tiger-in-the-nilgiris-is-a-first/article19217223.ece

Actually it was 2 of them.

I used to not believe White Tigers  occurred in the wild until adulthood, I've obviously changed my tone on that front.

Irony is, they call it tiger reserve, so many years passed, still john has no complete video proof of hunting tigers. Even in the above video, you will see every marketing gimmicks, but not a single shot of tiger's hunting.

Not hunting, not stalking, not chasing, not failed attempts, not even feeding. Whatever we have are almost too obviously staged & within fenced enclosures.

Just see here... The animal looks drugged & dazed, while the adult tigers seems to have no understanding stealth or stalking.

Next one is at least something but again you don't see the beginning of the video. Also the tigers are very clumsy, with zero skill, it's almost impossible that such noobs could chase down bucks in open grassland.

It's just another of those hunting ranches that keep predators in semi-wild & calls them wild... But unlike the other on ones in South Africa, atleast they don't have them up for being shot.

Tiger Kumba
- Meaning: Kumba is the Swahili word for “Roar”.
- 6 years old.
- Kumba was a new genetic line brought into Tiger Canyon to allow for variability in the existing population.
- He is the father to six offspring.

Take this with a grain of salt obviously but...

@patrickthornqvist Tiger Kumba is estimated to be around 290kg and Tiger Nonyana is at 300kg - they are indeed big boys!

Tiger Canyon Private Game Reserve

Our tigers made a big splash this weekend! We followed the adult male coalition (Nonyana and Sundarban) and the 3 subadult males from Ussuri’s litter (Malik, Shaka and Jabali) all the way to Seatao’s dam where two of the sub adults proceeded to chase the South African Shelducks and each other around in the water. This playfulness was beautifully captured by our guests Jim Hartwell and Judith Leclerc. We hope that our playful cats brought out your inner child after your visit.

Note: It is extremely rare to see so many males at once- what a treat!

Tiger Canyon Private Game Reserve
Tigress Panna recently killed a blue wildebeest which she dragged into the nearby greens to protect from other predators.

Her two more confident cubs, Pabla and Nikhil, came first to eat, gazing around bloody-mouthed as they tore from the rump and other soft tissue in order to break the carcass open. The third cub, Corbet Jr, approached the feast cautiously with his characteristic flashing eyes, assessed the situation, and retreated. He later returned and began to tear from the massive bull which weighs around 200 kg.

That's the only video I saw on it, I'll check her Fb at work to see if she has any other shots.
