Amur tiger Kuzya released into wild
16 September 2014

In May 2014, an Amur tiger named Kuzya was released into the wild together with other tigers as part of efforts under the presidential programme for the conservation of rare animals. The tiger is leaving the Amur River territory and heading south, to the area where the Jewish Autonomous Region borders the Khabarovsk Territory, a press statement from the regional department for wildlife conservation has reported. The two other tigers, Ilona and Boris, are inhabiting the territory where they were released, namely at the Zheludinsky and Andreyevsky wildlife preserves, only seldom leaving the protected areas. The striped wild cats are monitored by Primorye specialists of the Tiger Special Inspectorate and game management specialists of the wildlife preserves. They say the animals got used to the new environment very fast and hunt small game, wild boars and roe deer. In September, Boris killed a bear. Specialists monitor the 1.5-year-old tigers by obtaining data from special satellite collars attached to them. The devices are programmed in a way that allows the wild cats get rid of them in one year and live independently

Tiger with Gaur Kill and another bull Gaur is watching the tiger. Magnificent sighting.

BANDIPUR has always been special to me.This gaur was killed by a male tiger in an open field near border road.I got the information at 7.30 pm on wednesday night.I was at the spot Thrusday morning at 6.40am...saw the kill but no tiger.waited for more than 3 hrs..lot of alarm calls around indicating the presence of the tiger, but it did not come out.Thrusday evening a leopard was feasting on the kill amidst lound alarm calls from langur and chital ....hearing this the tiger comes rushing to defend his kill..leopard runs out of sight..we see the tiger for 2 seconds inside the lantana to our right..i click only to get the lantana in the foreground in focus.Next second the tiger dissapears searching for the leopard in the direction of the alarm calls.Missed!! i curse my luck.Next day morning i reached the kill at 6.25am ..a gypsy belonging to a pvt resort reaches the spot 2 mins before me sees the tiger walking in to the bushes...gets no pics.We wait for more than an hour ,but the tiger who had his fill by then, decides to sleep inside a dry nullah right behind the kill and does not come out...alright.. so no luck the third time.I sit down and decide to change the routine ...in the afternoon we reach the spot an hour before other jeeps .As per plan we switch off the engine about a quater km away and reach the spot..the willy tiger which still manages to hear the rattle of our approaching vehicle stands right next to the kill..at the first glimpse of our vehicle [which was around 300 feet away] he retreats in to the lantana..but stands still watching at our approaching jeep..as the jeep stops about 150 feet away ...i instantly click pointing my camera towards the tiger..in about 5 to 10 seconds i manage to get atleast a few record shots of this huge male tiger which remains to be identified. With extreme satisfaction of atleast getting a few record shots...all my feelings of not having got him feasting on his kill vanish.I silently take a video of the kill and wait at the spot...thinking that it was all over. vultures sitting around hover around the kill but refuse to land, probably sensing the tiger.Suddenly from our left two wild dogs appear on the scene...and cautiously approach the kill..but sensing the tiger around they too dissapear from the scene. As the other jeeps start pouring in i decided to exit from the scene aware that the tiger being shy [not used to vehicles and people] would not emerge. As i return back i was blessed with an sighting which was perhaps more rare than a tiger!! A sloth bear with two cubs piggyriding on her!! We also got to see herds of elephants,a tusker, and groups of gaur too. More than i asked for!! I will be posting the images and videos of the tiger , wild dogs, vultures and the bear cubs with their mother.Keep watching.here is a picture of the scene showing the dead gaur and other gaur watching it in the rain.

Regarding the info you requested.

A two-year old male amur tiger named Boris (Borya) killed a three year old bear. Unfortunately no further details are available.

"...Осиротевших самцов, братьев Борю и Кузю, нашли еще тигрятами вместе с маленькой самочкой
Бусинкой около деревни Андреевка Приморского края в ноябре 2012 года. Найденышей перевез
ли в центр реабилитации диких животных в Алексеевке. По оценке специалистов, малышам было
приблизительно по четыре меся."

Wild bull defeats tiger in forest fight
*This image is copyright of its original author
At the end of the hour-long duel, the bull hurled the tiger in the air and forced it to flee. BAHRAICH: It was a spectacular battle in the forest along Belchna-Babhaniya Road passing through Katraniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary on Friday morning. As a wild bull and a tiger fought ferociously near the road for more than an hour, traffic came to a standstill. People, including passers-by, police and forest department officials, watched the deadly duel with amazement and terror. The fight ended with the bull - both its horns broken - hurling the tiger in the air and forcing it to beat a hasty retreat.

Eye-witnesses said the two beasts came face to face in Kakhra range of the sanctuary early in the morning. Taking the adversary lightly, it was the tiger which started the fight but soon realised its folly. In the first round of the bout, that lasted around 15 minutes, the bull hurled the adult male tiger in the air using its horns. The tiger fled into the jungle. The bull was the clear winner.

By that time a large number of villagers, cops and forest officials had assembled on the road adjacent to the spot where the fight was taking place. As they were all about to disperse, the tiger returned with a vengeance and attacked the bull while it was grazing. This time, it was a fight to the finish and both the fighters were in no mood to relent. Both suffered injuries but it was the bull which prevailed ultimately. The big cat had to accept defeat and flee to save its life. The second round lasted for nearly 55 minutes. Although victorious, the bull was left with broken horns.

While the two animals were trying to finish each other, there was pin drop silence among spectators who watched the spectacle hiding behind bushes. The local police and forest team had also reached the spot and formed a security ring to prevent villagers from going closer to the spot.

Divisional forest officer Ashish Tewari said the wild bull was badly injured. "Such struggles are normal in the jungle," he said.

The image definitely isn't from the event.
They do this often when reports happen but they don't have images or videos to go a long with it.
