I'm gonna embolden that word you've used.

It's not being done "constantly". There's NOT A SINGLE post here on canned-hunts, tiger farms etc. as if we live in a world where those things don't happen at all! (Show me one. ONE!)

Yes, war is terrible. But in a forum of socio-politics, they won't conveniently skip the wars part, with the "dead children & mutilated bodies".
Photos like this have won the Pulitzer prize.

..& ultimately played crucial role in stopping the use of Napalm on civilians.

I'd questioned the senior Mods' decisions from my early days here. They were well recieved & replied. Bulldozing-ones-opinion-on-other-people is slightly different from "constructive criticism".

But let's drop this now...
From now on all "bad posts" will be moved to The Gallery of Shame thread meant for "bad people". This one is reserved for the happy animals in happy cages (posters please take note).

That's a sanctuary! How do they get necessary clearances with such horrendous conditions? There must be minimum standards to be met, for private facilities to be permitted to keep big-cats in US... right?

A proper zoo/rescue-center that sized enclosure for porcupines & stuff.

Sanctuaries and Zoos must operate under certain standereds to be accredited http://www.asaanimalsanctuaries.org/
Others where the trade of exotic animals are still legal can keep wildlife in any habitat they'd like as long as no danger is assessed to their neighbors, the animals or themselves. It's a blurry line and that is where you see the horrific living conditions in these places. A great documentary to watch on Netflix is called "Elephant in my Living Room"

Rishi: Paris was 178 kg (around 7yo). Thats another photo of him. I made this photo same day as the previous one. Here he looks much more impressive. Photos are misleading...

Anyway, Paris was probably the biggest asiatic lion I have ever seen. IMO captive asiatic lions are usually between 160 - 180 kg. They are more uniform than africans... who are much more diverse when it comes to size (150 - 220 kg...just my estimate, nothing more)

Bengal tiger discovered locked up in abandoned house in Mexico
Mexican authorities searching an abandoned house were left stunned when they discovered a Bengal tiger locked in a cage. Police officers, who found the endangered animal after a tip-off from a member of the public, say it is a “complete mystery” how the tiger got there.
They were searching a property in the municipality of Chilapa de Alvarez, in the state of Guerrero, when they heard a strange noise. The female tiger was found inside a locked room and police suspect it was illegally owned. Police spokesman Leonidas Bueno Escamilla said the big cat was in a “good condition”.
“She didn't have any food or water to hand, but we don't think she could have been there for long,” he told AFP Indonesia. "The cage was much too small for an animal of this size, it's a complete mystery what the tiger was doing there.”
He added: “If a child or anyone else had wandered near the cage the tiger could easily have grabbed them and then the consequences could have been terrible.”
The animal was taken to a zoo where it is being cared for while police carry out their investigation. The owner of the property told investigators he did not know who had brought the tiger to his house.
