Yeah no doubt, but maybe Nkhulus, even if they invade west, if it takes 2 years to invade and oust Gijimas, it'll be enough to grant their 3 cubs a chance of surviving.

Unhealthy is here, he is the most blondish male behind.

Oldest/smudge nosed male is not with them.

The Southern Avoca was spotted alone once again, this time licking his wounds.
I believe in the possibility that the Nkhulu may have taken down the larger of the two Southern Avocas. The short-maned male have been sighted alone lately like never before, i think it's appropriate to say that his brother has been missing for a considerable amount of time at this point.

Why would it take so long, like two years?  They are already nearly ready, if not so.  That's 2 years wasted in takeover attempts for 5 males.  They wouldn't need to take 2 years of slowly taking over a pride if they are smart enough to realize they have the numbers on their side.  A lion's life is not so long that they should and will take such a lengthy time to take over a pride that's only controlled by one or two males.  If so, they wouldn't be the brightest bunch in the bush.....

Because they will prob establish territory in ex S.Avocas territory first, with Sand River and Plains Camp prides.

After that who knows what will happen.

Why Ndhzengas then "waste" 1.5 yrs in south and only then moved north? They could easily beat 2 Bboys even then.

Why 5 Vuyelas didnt expand for almost 2 years? They could easily beat any neighbouring coalition..

Why 4 BDMs didnt oust lone Mapoza male for a year now?

Etc etc..

Lions dont just expand and change territories over night, just because they have numbers to do so.

You definitely misunderstood.  I was talking about IF and WHEN they decide to take over a pride....not WHY they don't go after such and such coalition with only 1 or 2 males.  The process itself AFTER they begin, should not take a whole two years.

Oh, not sure if he was implying that, maybe he was, but yea, process of takeover act shouldnt be that long in such numbers disparity.

RE: Nkhulu males - Mapokser - 09-09-2023

I wasn't implying that, I pretty much agreed with Potato saying Gijimas wouldn't last long if Nkhulus were to invade.

I meant exactly what Tr1x24 was saying, maybe Nkhulus will move west eventually, but they'll probably establish themselves in Avoca territory first and if it takes them 2 years doing that, it's enough time to give the Gijima's offspring a chance.

I agree for the most part.
I don't see any reason for the Nkhulus to invade Gijima's territory. As we know they haven't even established themselves in Avoca territory. However, i suppose that under current conditions, the 6 young males have already gained enough confidence to face the duo of Gijimas.

Also i personally wouldn't be so confident that 2 years would be enough for the offspring sired by the Gijima males to survive.

RE: Nkhulu males - Mapokser - 09-10-2023

Like I said 2 years would give them a chance since 2yo lions are capable of hunting and surviving on their own, but this is still far from ideal since they aren't big enough to outrun rivals or defend themselves.

RE: Nkhulu males - Tr1x24 - 09-10-2023

Another thing we ignore is that in 1-2 yrs from now, Gijimas might not even be in this territory anymore, they already started slowly moving north not even 1.5 years under their rule .

They will prob take Talamatis, which would move them even further north to Londolozi and central Sabi Sands.

This also depends on Ndhzengas, but in a year or so, south might be fully open for Nkhulus.

RE: Nkhulu males - Tylermartin! - 09-10-2023

At the end of the day if they get enough confidence they can literally do whatever they want also depending on who is with the 5 Healthy brothers… if dreadlocks is with them then they can take whatever pride they want without him probably can still do that but he helps with his experience and the youngest boy how sick is he? does he turn into a limper kind of male or a male like scrapper the youngest smallest and most aggressive All 7 can easily control the entire southern sabi sand but I don’t want any cubs females males and subadults to die so I feel very odd about this situation
