Do you happen have any idea who she is, from which pride? No mention of it in the photographer's comments. Seems they have moved back south again, which is good, but I can't think the SP lioness is ready again.

Probably a Talamati.

Down in Sabi Sabi? I didn't know they had moved that far south.

I knew they had gone into Londolozi, that is where the Gijimas mated with them the first time, if I am not mistaken. What I think is at issue is that Sabi Sabi is not as far south as I was picturing in my mind. I looked over the map again, to regain my bearings, and I can see it now. Seems it has two distinct sections.

On FB they claimed it's a Styx subadult... Could this be?

Both were seen mating with two of the Talamati lionesses.

Older Gijima has a beautiful black mane.

And it may be that Talamatis are really settling down with Gijimas as their dominant males, it's been a while since they arrived in the south.

In the heart of the pride, a timeless bond unfolds—here's a tender moment between the Gijima male lion and his offspring.

With pride and love in his gaze, the mighty king imparts lessons of strength and resilience to the next generation. A testament to the enduring legacy of these majestic creatures.
